After filling Dumbledore in on the destruction of the Horcrux, you found yourself coming to terms with what actually just happened.
You just killed a part of the most powerful, evil sorcerer of all time.
"What if Voldemort knows what I just did Sir? And what if he knows you were involved?" Worry was spilling out of you, looking up at Snape. If Voldemort knew that Snape had anything to do with the destruction of a part of his soul, he was a dead man.
"He won't find out that it was you (y/n). Trust me, your powers in Occlumency are far too strong." Said the headmaster, Snape nodded along.
"I have to agree, White. There's no way he would be able to get into your mind now." Snape says, putting your worries at bay. "You are strong enough to only show him what you want him to see, you can manipulate your own memories and thoughts to produce any past you want now."
(y/n) {Wow, twice in a day Snape has complimented my skills...is he feeling alright?} you thought, your cheeks going a couple shades pinker than usual.
Dumbledore smiled warmly through his long white beard, his twinkly eyes shifting between the two of you.
"Well, I have to thank you (y/n)" Dumbledore said graciously, grabbing your hands in his. You looked down at his cursed hand, feeling a little glum again. "You have destroyed one of the seven horcruxes." He lets go of your hand, smiling with gratitude.
"THERES SEVEN?" You and Snape exclaim in unison, both of your jaws dropping. You look at each other for a split second before looking away. Snape frowned at Dumbledore, whilst you lightly blushed before returning back to your serious state.
"I believe so, I'm still hunting for the next one. That's where I have been today. Unfortunately I haven't had any luck yet..." he says shaking his head. He walks over to his desk where Fawkes is resting on his perch. Dumbledore strokes the fiery-coloured bird with his finger, it's dark glassy eyes closing, contented.
Suddenly, a grunt came from Snape. He clutched at his arm, clearly in some sort of pain.
"He's calling you isn't he Severus?" Dumbledore's expression held concern, he looked towards Snape's arm which he was holding tight against his body.
"I'll have to notify him that White now knows about the task he wishes her to complete." Snape said, his eyes filled with regret. "He will most likely want her to be present at the next meeting Headmaster." Snape responded, a fearful tone in his voice.
(y/n) {Hello? I'm still here!}
"You know what to do Severus." Dumbledore bowed his head, staring blankly at the floor.
And with that Snape left the office, without another word.
"Take a seat (y/n) we have much to discuss." Dumbledore says, motioning towards the chair in front of his desk. He takes a seat behind it, picking up the ring. You nervously take a seat, tucking your white pieces of hair behind your ear.
"Soon Draco will be attempting to fulfil Voldemort's wishes (y/n). I expect you understand that you must also do the same."
You hesitantly nod, not making eye contact with him. You couldn't bare to look into the eyes of a man whom you were going to have to kill at some point.
"You will know when the time is right (y/n). I'm not asking you to perform the killing curse in the broad daylight, or to try and poison my goblet during one of the feasts...There will come a time when I am close to my end, and then you must kill me. Whatever way that may be, and no matter if I beg for you to spare me. You must understand that you cannot show that I am your ally, especially in front of the dark lord's followers."
