Optimus looked incredulously for a moment, then his features softened as he began to laugh.
Who knew that his laugh could be contagious? I found myself giggling along with him.
Finally Optimus kissed my fore-helm.
"Mrs. Prime. It has a ring to it," he smiled.
I smiled back,"Mr. Prime."
Optimus just chuckled and bumped his fore-helm against mine, before kissing me.
My spark was still beating wildly from the bonding, pumping energon faster through my veins.
Optimus slid his arms around my waist again and pulled me close.
I suddenly wanted him desperately...but at the same time...was torn about having sparklings now, or having them later on, when the War had calmed down somewhat.
"Are you alright, Chardirakii?" Optimus asked, pulling away slightly.
Right. He could feel my emotions.
"I'm fine," I replied,"Just...thinking."
Optimus smiled and took my servo,"Want to continue on and talk about it?"
I smiled gratefully and nodded,"That would be pleasant, Mr. Prime."
"You're never going to let that name go are you?" Optimus asked as we began to walk.
I laughed,"Nope. It suits you."
"In that case I am given liberty to call you 'Mrs. Prime'," Optimus grinned.
I smiled back,"I do not mind at all."
Optimus kissed my cheek,"So what were you thinking about?"
I blushed slightly,"Optimus...i-if we ever have...sparklings...how many do you think we'd have?"
Optimus' optics clearly widened in the moonlight, the bright blue color glowing in the darkness as we passed under a ledge.
"Sparklings? Perhaps...two or three," he replied,"What do you think to be an appropriate number?"
"One sounds good, but I'd be fine with two," I answered, hoping the night hid my blush enough.
"Why do you ask me this? Is it because...?" Optimus began, then trailed off, lifting a suggestive optic ridge.
"No! No! I mean, yes I want sparklings I just...don't know when I want them," I managed to stammer out.
"Definitely not right now," Optimus stated,"I can tell from your face-plates."
Frag.
My face-plates darkened even more.
"D-do you think that...when the War's kind of calmed down somewhat...would that be a good time to...?"
I couldn't even say the word. I was certain that the second it left my glossa I'd be blue as a...what'd humans call them? A strawberry? Raspberry? No, blueberry! Blue as a blueberry!
Optimus stopped and turned me to face him, then took my chin in his digits to tilt my helm back, so I could look him in the optics.
"Chardirakii, I bonded with you not just for my own happiness, but for yours as well. Whatever makes you happy makes me happy. Whenever you desire sparklings is your choice. I believe as a carrier you should get to decide when you are ready," he said solemnly, then hugged me close, one servo stroking my braid,"I would never force something on you that you wouldn't want."
I smiled, then pushed away just enough so I could tip my helm back and capture Optimus' dermas.
"I'm so glad to have met you," I said.
"As am I, my love," Optimus replied, staring lovingly into my optics,"As am I."
A chilly breeze swept around us and I shivered slightly. The moon was no longer directly above us and the sky was starting to taint violet.
"I suppose we should head back and get some rest," I suggested with a sigh.
Optimus nodded, also sighing.
He pulled out a little remote and pushed a button on it. A ground-bridge opened up and we stepped through quietly, the portal closing almost instantly behind us.
All looked the same. Ratchet was snoring away on the console, the only difference was Smokescreen, snoozing on his peds in a corner, arms crossed and a string of drool hanging out the corner of his intake.
I smothered my snort of amusement with a servo and headed back with Optimus to...our...room.
There, Optimus scooped me up bridal-style and laid me down on his berth, then climbed in beside me.
I blushed again. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought I'd be sleeping with a mech, yet here I was...right beside one. Under the same covers and everything.
I felt Optimus press a light kiss to my neck-cables and wrap an arm around my waist to snuggle me close.
"Goodnight, my love," he whispered, his breath warm on my cheek.
"Goodnight, warrior-prince," I replied and felt Optimus chuckle softly.
"Now that's a name I wouldn't mind being called more often," he said, making me smile.
Eventually we both fell asleep, just before dawn.

We must've gotten at least two hours of sleep before Smokescreen came knocking on our locked door.
"Optimus! You need to come see this!" he was shouting, giving no regard to me whatsoever.
Optimus let out a soft groan and got up.
I too, got out of the berth and fixed my hair. The beach air had made it all frizzy and tangled, but I managed to fanangle it into a respectable braid once more and tucked it under my neglected helm-armor.
Optimus was already in the control room with the others, all of whom gave me a warm 'good morning'. Except Smokescreen, who still seemed prejudiced against me, and only mumbled,"Hi."
"What was all the ruckus?" I asked, coming to stand beside Optimus.
"We've located another relic, one in the Arctic," Ratchet explained, showing some flashing blue coordinates,"It's in a human facility."
"Agent Fowler can take care of that for us," Optimus said, then went to a different console and typed some things in.
A screen showed up with a big brown thing on it.
"Er...Agent Fowler?" Optimus asked.
The brown thing backed away to reveal it was actually the forehead of a fully grown human male with strict dark-brown features, a rotund figure, and fluffy black hair.
"Prime? What're you doing callin' me so early in the mornin'?" the human asked, then noticed me,"And who's the newbie?"
"Her designation is Chardirakii, but that is not the purpose of my call, Agent Fowler," Optimus replied.
"Well hurry up. I haven't had my mornin' coffee yet and I'm in a bad mood," Agent Fowler snapped.
"We've located another relic, in the Arctic, but it's in a human facility. Is it possible for you to clear it of human activity?" Optimus asked.
"I'll do what I can, Prime," Agent Fowler replied,"But first, coffee."
The screen turned off.
"What's coffee?" I asked.
"A human beverage most use as morning sustenance," Arcee replied,"It's bitter and gross. Trust me, June made me try it."
"Who's June?" I asked.
"Ah, right, you haven't met the humans," Optimus said.
"Me, Bee, and Bulkhead are leaving in five minutes to pick up the kids," Arcee replied,"It's the weekend so they're staying all day. You can get to know them."
"Ugh! The whole day?" Ratchet groaned.
::The whole day:: Bumblebee beeped happily.
Ratchet let out a long, exparated groan,"This is going to be a looooooong day."
I smiled. On the contrary, it was going to be extremely interesting.
