Chardirakii lay on the medical berth, her optics shut, and her hair tied in a long ponytail to keep it out of her face-plates while Ratchet did his scans.
Finally the little blue beam of light disappeared back into Ratchet's arm and he sighed in relief,"She's going to be okay."
"What happened?" Arcee asked,"It was like...my processors were all fuzzy."
"Then suddenly we heard Chardirakii singing," Smokescreen added.
::And ran to see what was wrong:: Bumblebee finished.
Ultra Magnus was in his room. He had been appalled to know he'd walked right past me and not even known.
"How long until she wakes up?" I asked.
Ratchet went over to the monitors,"A few hours. She used up a lot of strength. When she does wake up she'll need to refuel as well."
"Wait! What's happening to her!" Jack cried, jumping up from the couch and running over to the railing, his dark eyes wide.
I looked back at the femme and my own optics widened, so did everyone else's I'm certain.
Chardirakii was glowing again. Not so brightly as before, but she was definitely glowing with a soft purple light.
Bright magenta tattoos swirled over the unarmored parts of her frame, climbing up her waist and arms to finally curl over her face-plates.
They all glowed brightly for a moment, then Chardirakii exhaled heavily and all the tattoos floated off her frame, creating a femme-like form that hovered just above her. Like a very intricate, violet ghost.
The ghost hovered for a moment longer, then turned into a little glowing purple ball and disappeared into her chest-plate with a soft, echoey cry.
Chardirakii coughed a little, then slowly fluttered her optics open.
"Uhhh...what happened?" she asked, lifting herself up onto her elbows.
"Ep ep ep! Lie down again right now, young femme," Ratchet scolded, pushing her back into a resting position.
"You had us worried, Chardirakii," Arcee smiled, her pink and blue circular-striped optics shiny with tears.
Bumblebee let out one of his happy whirrs and hugged Chardirakii around the shoulder-plates.
She looked a little surprised for a second, then smiled and patted his shoulder-plate until Ratchet pushed the scout away.
"For Primus' sake, Bumblebee!" the medic cried,"She's still weak! Go fetch her some energon or something useful like that."
Bumblebee beeped and ran off.
Chardirakii looked around at all of us,"Hexia. Is she...?"
"We don't know," I replied.
"We arrived in time to see you drop her into a pit," Smokescreen said,"All else we know nothing of."
Chardirakii rubbed her optics, then sighed, looking at the ceiling.
"I am slagged about one thing though," Miko spoke up, making Chardirakii look at the human girl.
"What?" she asked.
"You have fragging hair! Hair!" Miko squealed,"Do you know what colors we could've dyed it?"
"Probably one of the reasons I kept it hidden," Chardirakii smiled, her black optics twinkling.
Miko crossed her arms, but the girl couldn't stay mad as a huge smile replaced her frown.
"We are grateful that you have awoken, Chardirakii," I said.
Bumblebee came in with Midnight in one arm, and a cube of energon in his other servo.
::I brought your pet:: he beeped, handing both the cyber-panther and the energon to Chardirakii.
"Thank you, Bee," she smiled, taking a sip of the energon while petting Midnight.
"So...why did Hexia go all'murder mode' on you, Char?" Bulkhead asked.
Chardirakii took another sip of energon,"She liked Optimus, then got mad because we were Sparkmates."
"Ah....wait WHAT!?!?" Ratchet and Smokescreen shouted while everybody else's intakes dropped open.
Chardirakii laughed and my face-plates turned considerably blue.
"You're jokin' right?" Wheeljack asked me, raising an optic ridge.
I sighed,"No, Wheeljack. We are Sparkmates. Have been for some time."
"What's a Sparkmate?" Raf asked.
::It's like your humans' wives and husbands, only the two bots physically bond their sparks to create a strong connection to one another's feelings or emotions:: Bumblebee explained.
"Uhhh what?" Jack asked and Miko looked confused.
Raf translated.
"You two got married!?" Miko squealed excitedly,"Why didn't anyone tell me this!?"
"Who got married?" Ultra Magnus asked, stepping into the control room.
"Optimus and Chardirakii are Sparkmates," Wheeljack replied misheviously.
Ultra Magnus' intake dropped open and his optics widened to the point where I was certain they would pop out of his helm,"H-how long?"
"Since I joined the team," Chardirakii replied, still calmly drinking her energon.
"That's...almost a year and a quarter!" Smokescreen exclaimed.
"Haha! I told you they were a match!" Bulkhead cheered, punching Wheeljack on the arm,"You owe me three shank, buddy."
Wheeljack rolled his optics, but good-humoredly pulled out the Cybertronian units and handed them to Bulkhead.
"Guess I didn't see that one comin'," he sighed.
Arcee was smiling hugely,"I'm so happy for you two."
Ultra Magnus rubbed his optics,"I'm going back to my room."
Then he left.
Chardirakii finished her energon then looked at Ratchet,"Can I leave now?"
Ratchet shook his helm,"Not until I'm absolutely certain all your systems are fully functioning."
Chardirakii sighed and looked back up at the ceiling, still petting Midnight who had curled up on her stomach and was purring loudly.
"So how long until we've got mini-Primes and mini-Chars runnin' 'round our peds?" Wheeljack asked.
I understood what the Wrecker was implying and forced the heat down from my face-plates,"That is for Chardirakii to decide, as she is the carrier."
"Sparklings? Carrier?" Raf and Miko whispered.
Ratchet turned towards the children,"Sparklings are our children. You see-"
"And that is quite enough, thank you, Ratchet," I said, having had this talk stellar-cycles ago and still not quite recovered from it.
Ratchet grumbled something and turned back to the monitors.
But the question still remained in the back of my helm.
How long would it be before Chardirakii was ready for sparklings?
Possibly...never?Author's Note: Warning! Next chapter is PG 13+
