Can y'all guess where this is leading? 😉😁
The next morning I was awake earlier than usual, which proved to be an advantage, as there was a light tapping on the bottom of my door...the sound-proofing had been taken down before I fell asleep. Quietly, so as not to wake Chardirakii, who was still slumbering peacefully beside me with her black hair spread out around her helm, I climbed out of the berth and opened the door a crack. "Optimus, down here," a male human called softly. I looked down to see Jack standing near my ped. "Good morning, Jack," I said, kneeling down by him,"You're up strangely early." "I uh...came to give you these," Jack said, holding out two pieces of stiff paper. I carefully took them in my index and thumb digits and squinted at the tiny writing,"What are they?" "Passports for your holoforms," Jack smiled,"So you and Chardirakii can go on a honeymoon." "What is a honeymoon?" I asked. "Well, it's a special vacation for a husband and wife," Jack explained to me,"Me and my mom thought it would be nice for you and Chardirakii to get out for a while. Relax." I smiled sadly,"Your thoughtfulness is touching, Jack, but I cannot leave my team-mates." Jack's smile grew,"I know. That's why we all arranged for Ultra Magnus to be in charge while you're gone." I blinked in surprise,"When did you have time to arrange all this?" "Ah...last night, after Chardirakii went to bed," Jack replied,"We were all waiting for her to leave so that it would be a surprise." My processors were turning circles while my spark started beating at twice its regular pace. This would be perfect for Chardirakii. She could relax and the sparklings could be safely developed. "How long?" I asked. "As long as you need," Jack replied,"It's a gift from all of us on Team Prime." "Go, Optimus," Ratchet said, turning the corner,"You've long deserved it." I blinked again in surprise, then smiled and nodded. "Be ready to depart soon because I'm not leaving the ground-bridge open forever," Ratchet said bossily then picked up Jack and walked away. I quickly shut the door again and gently shook Chardirakii awake. "Ughh...what time is it?" she groaned, drawing the back of her servo across her optics. "It is 5:30 am," I replied and she groaned again. "It's so early." "Come quickly, we're going on a vacation," I said, grinning widely as the pent-up excitement growing in my spark slipped out a little. Chardirakii lifted her servo, interested,"A vacation? But who'll lead the team? And why so sudden?" "All has already been planned by our comrades, who met in secret last night," I replied, then went to gather a datapad and some oil for our armor,"We must hurry, or Ratchet will close the ground-bridge and we'll have to drive." "Okay, okay," Chardirakii chuckled, swinging her legs out of the berth,"Someone's a little excited." She grabbed a comb and ran it through her tangled hair, then braided it and put her helm-armor on over it,"Where are we going anyways?" "I honestly have no idea," I replied, putting everything in my subspace, then pulling the sheets off my berth and tucking them under it to be dealt with later on,"But that makes it all the better doesn't it?" Chardirakii shrugged,"I suppose." I turned and hugged her from behind, clasping my servos on her stomach,"We're going on a vacation, Chardirakii. Just the two of us. Isn't that enough reason to be excited?" Chardirakii leaned against me and sighed,"I'm just worried about what'll happen whike we're gone. What if something goes wrong? What if someone gets hurt? What if the base gets destroyed again?" I turned her around and put a digit on her dermas,"I'm certain they'll be fine. And if anything goes wrong, they have our comm numbers." I pressed my fore-helm to hers and hugged her close to me, dropping my digit,"I just want you to be able to relax and...maybe we can spend more time together." Chardirakii smiled, then lightly kissed me,"Alright. Let's go before the ground-bridge closes." Ratchet was waiting by the open bridge when we arrived, and he looked quite slagged off. "Seven minutes," he grumbled. "Sorry, it was hard to fully wake up," Chardirakii apologized. Ratchet quickly stepped around the console and hugged Chardirakii, then hugged me. "Enjoy your vacation....and that didn't happen," he said, turning back to the console. Chardirakii and I shared an amused glance, then transformed and drive through the ground-bridge. We appeared just outside a ferry dock, where cars were just leaving a giant boat. "I am going to assume that's our first destination?" Chardirakii asked me through our comm. "I believe so," I replied, my holoform appearing in my vehicle mode. My passport was still with me, and my holoform climbed out quickly to give Chardirakii's holoform hers. Then we went to wait with everyone else to board the ferry. It was a long hour and a half wait, but eventually cars started driving on board, with both of us following. One man stopped me,"Semi-trucks go to that hanger." Obediently I followed his instructions, separating from Chardirakii and parking between two white semi-trucks. Then my holoform got out again and followed the stream of actual humans up to the deck. I looked around, searching for Chardirakii, then finally spotted her near the rail of the ferry, looking around as if she were lost. I snuck up behind her, then grabbed under her arms and spun her around while she shrieked in surprise and delight. When I finally set her down again she smacked me on the arm, but she was smiling. "You aft," she chuckled, failing greatly at sounding upset. A few people nearby chuckled as well. "Are you two a couple?" a boy asked, he looked to be just a couple years older than Jack. He had curly dark brown hair and a narrow, yet pleasant dark-tanned face with intelligent brown eyes that sparkled with a youthful light. With him was a girl who seemed to be a little younger, also with short curly hair, only it was a dirty blond, a heart-shaped face with light skin, and round, innocent, light-blue eyes that shone with amusement. "Newly-weds," Chardirakii replied, resting her head on my shoulder,"We're on our honeymoon." "You two are so cute together," the girl sighed, hugging her black Hogwarts hoodie tighter around her. "I'm Sam, Sam Edgcomb," the boy replied,"And this is my good friend Katelyn Hamilton. We're going on a vacation together." "Orion," I replied, shaking Sam's hand,"And this is Charlotte." Chardirakii smiled and shook Sam's hand as well,"Lovely to meet you." "We're going to meet my parents in Newfoundland," Katelyn explained,"They went on ahead with Sam's family. My brother and Sam's brother are here too...somewhere." Katelyn looked unnaturally pale, and her eyes kept darting about nervously. "Are you alright?" Chardirakii asked her. "Um...yeah, I am," Katelyn replied,"I just don't like getting on ferries. The horn scares me." I felt sorry for the girl. She was so young, but also so brave to be traveling on this ferry, and to be outside on it where the horn could blare the loudest. "Kate! Sam!" a boy cried out from behind me and I turned to see who it was.
