The next morning Chardirakii and I decided to take a long drive around Newfoundland. It was a quiet island, with a few houses scattered here and there, but what struck me as odd were the gardens. After passed the third random garden growing in the ditch and asked Chardirakii about it. "Perhaps because they do not have appropriate soil in most areas," she replied,"So they must use what they can to grow their food." We stopped by the Tablelands and walked along the path on top of the yellow rocks. "This is the only place in the world where you can see the Earth's mantle," I told Chardirakii, eager to share my knowledge of the planet. "Really?" Chardirakii asked in amazement, her holoform kneeling down and poking a rock,"It doesn't feel hot." "That's because it was brought up years and years ago," I replied,"It's unfit for many plants to survive in, as the rocks emit radiation." Chardirakii stumbled backwards away from the rock and I caught her by the waist to keep her from falling over backwards. "Careful," I chuckled,"It's only harmful if you eat it." "Why would humans eat rocks?" Chardirakii asked me, wrinkling her pretty nose in disgust. I shrugged and sighed,"The amount of times I've asked that same question, Char...lotte." A group of humans walked past us, chattering happily. We finished our walk by mid-day, then we drove to a nearby beach. A swimsuit materialized on my holoform, and when I climbed out of my vehicle mode my bare chest was hit by a cool breeze. "Chardirakii, you ready?" I called, looking in the direction of my Sparkmate, then my optics widened,"Whoa!"

Chardirakii looked absolutely stunning in a black swimsuit with magenta roses embroidered on it. Her black hair was loose and it fluttered around her in the wind as she walked over to me. "Are you going to keep staring or what?" she asked me with a smirk. I ran a hand down her arm and smiled,"You look beautiful." I tried to pull her close for a kiss, but with a playful giggle Chardirakii spun out of my grasp and bit her knuckle. "You'll have to catch me first," she said teasingly, then took off across the sand. I sighed, then grinned amd chased after her. I dodged small rocks and seaweed, slowly gaining on Chardirakii. We were both rather fit with good stamina, so we ran quite a long way down the beach. Finally I jumped off a smooth flat rock and tackled Chardirakii into the sand, wrapping my arms around her waist. "Gotcha," I smiled down at her. Chardirakii giggled, then grabbed hold of my chin with her fingers, pulling me in for a kiss. Our lips barely touched, when this time I pulled away teasingly. "Optim-uaah!!" Chardirakii cried as I scooped her up and slung her over my shoulder, running for the ocean with its huge crashing waves. The water was cold on my toes, then my legs as I raced deeper in before tossing Chardirakii into a wave. She came up spluttering and spitting seawater out of her mouth. "What the frag?!" she shouted at me while I laughed. "You tease me, I tease you right back," I smiled. "You're impossible sometimes," Chardirakii grinned, then splashed me with the cold water. I yelped a little when the cold water splattered across my shoulders and face, then I swung my arms in the water and splashed her right back. Chardirakii turned her helm away from my wave, then retaliated with another one of her own. "This is war!" she giggled, hitting me with a face-full of water. I spat the salty liquid from my mouth, then dove under the next wave, disappearing from sight. The salt water stung my eyes, but I circled around Chardirakii and lightly ran one of my fingers down the back of her leg. Above the water I heard a muffled shriek and Chardirakii jumped, her feet stirring up clouds of sand. I burst to the surface amd grabbed her tightly in my arms, pinning her arms to her sides while she shrieked in surprise and joy. I kissed her wet neck, then spun her around to face me. Her black hair was plastered to her scalp at the top, but when it touched the water it floated around her in a black cloud. Her entire body was shiny with seawater, and her dark dark almost-black brown eyes sparkled with joy. A large wave washed over us, submerging us for a moment. In that moment I surged forwards and kissed Chardirakii underwater, running my hands down her body, feeling the bare skin of her waist and thighs. Chardirakii ran her own hands up over my chest, her fingers running over my muscles, then tangled in my holoform's hair. Eventually we resurfaced, both gasping for air, but I still held Chardirakii close. I set my hands on either side of her face and tilted her head up a little so I could more easily kiss her fore-head. Chardirakii put both her hands on the back of my head and pulled me in for a passionate kiss. Her lips tasted like salt water, but I didn't care, even as another large wave broke over our heads. Suddenly I realized I couldn't feel my toes anymore, so picked up Chardirakii bridal-style and walked ashore. I set my Sparkmate down in the sand, then sat down beside her. Nobody was at this beach. Only us. The sun warmed us and dried us from our play in the cold water, and I felt Chardirakii grow drowsy beside me. I wrapped an arm around her slim shoulders and pulled her against me, kissing the damp hair on top of her head. "Where should we go tomorrow?" Chardirakii asked me, hugging my side. I smiled and rubbed her arm with my hand,"Anywhere. I'll let you decide." Chardirakii smiled again, then snuggled against me. "For the record, never throw me in freezing cold ocean water again," she softly chided me. I laughed and kissed the top of her head again,"Only if you tease me."
