Author's Note: Yaaas! We finally get to see them kiss!
At least...their holoforms kiss.
I don't know what's wrong with me!
Lol!
I woke up feeling like the world was moving through a fuzzy black cloud. There were voices, but they were muffled. My glossa felt like stone in my intake and my optics felt as if they had been superglued shut. My frame felt heavy and any slight movement felt as if I were moving through a thick soup.
Eventually I did managed to flutter my optics open a little bit to see the blurry images of my team-mates.
"Ssh! She's waking up," Arcee hissed and then there was silence.
I managed to open my optics halfway, but my vision was still blurring in and out of focus.
"Huhnnu..." I groaned and Optimus was at my side, my servo already clasped in his.
"Chardirakii! Oh, Primus are you alright? We've been so worried about you," he said.
I heard Wheeljack snicker. If I could I would've shot him a chilling glare, but instead settled for ignoring him.
"O-Optimus...?" I whispered hoarsely,"Wh-where am I?"
"We're back at the base," Smokescreen replied,"We've been waiting anxiously for you to wake up."
I slowly blinked,"How long have I been out?"
::A month:: Bumblebee whirred and my breath caught in my throat. The sparkling/s! My vision and senses were suddenly sharp once more.
"Alright everybot out," Ratchet ordered, shooing everyone away from me,"I still have some scans to do and I can't have you all clustered in here at once."
Optimus gave my servo and affectionate squeeze, then gave me a quick peck on the fore-helm before leaving with the others.
Ratchet scanned me, and the blue beam turned red when it passed over my stomach area, which was covered by a sheet.
"Ratchet, I need to explain..." I began, but the medic held up a digit.
"Ep ep ep! I've told them all it was a pillow," he said,"I already know you carry sparklings."
I blushed slightly,"Can you tell how many?"
"I can do an ultrasound," Ratchet replied, picking up two flat sheets of metal attached to wires that disappeared into a monitor.
He pulled the sheet aside, then pressed both metal things to my stomach. There was a beep, a whirr, and then a click before Ratchet set the metal sheets aside and covered me again.
He typed some things in at the monitor, then picked up a datapad and handed it to me.
The picture was fuzzy, but I could make out three small forms.
I smiled,"Triplets?"
Ratchet nodded,"It's too soon to tell their genders yet, but I'm going to say right now they will be a handful."
"Why do you say that?" I smirked.
"Because I know what you are like, and I know what Optimus is like," Ratchet explained, then took the datapad from me,"Have you told Optimus yet?"
I shook my helm,"I want it to be a surprise."
Ratchet nodded, then a rare smile spread over his elderly features,"I know exactly what'll keep him busy. You're fairly close to giving birth any week now, so perhaps some energon missions should keep him busy."
I smiled wider,"That's a great idea. It'll distract the team as well."So our little trick began.
Ratchet, true to his word, found numerous energon mines for Optimus and the others to search, and that kept them fairly busy for most of the day.
But as the weeks passed, I began to feel strangely guilty about not telling Optimus, and the frequent kicks I received from the little ones inside me did little to help.
"Ratchet," I groaned one day while the others were gone,"I feel bad about this."
"I was wondering when you'd change your mind," Ratchet stated, then turned to me,"Do you want me to tell the others when they arrive?"
I smiled and rested my servo on my stomach, feeling a tiny ped kick me there,"No. I have a much better idea."When the others arrived, Ratchet had already set up a table with a small card on it.
On the card I had written, 'Get ready to welcome three more members of the team aunt, uncles, and sire.'
Optimus picked up the card as I watched from the concealed shadows of a doorway, then smirked as his face-plates turned pale.
"What is it, sir?" Ultra Magnus asked him.
Optimus just handed him the card, which Ultra Magnus read aloud to everybody.
"Aunt...uncles..." Arcee muttered, frowning in confusion,"Sire?"
Bulkhead's jaw dropped open, then he shouted,"HOLY SOLACE PRIME AND UNICRON'S SPARK!!! CHARDIRAKII!!!!"
I calmly stepped out of the doorway,"Yes, Bulkhead?"
"You're pregnant!!!" he shrieked, then did a little funky dance before crushing Wheeljack in a huge hug,"We're gonna be uncles, Jackie!!"
Optimus looked as if he were about to faint.
Ultra Magnus looked at me, then at the card in his servo, then at me again...then his optics rolled back in his helm and he crumpled to the ground in a dead faint.
Arcee's optics widened in sudden realization and both her servos flew to her intake, barely muffling the excited squeal that erupted from her voice-box.
Smokescreen just stood beside Optimus, looking as pale and shocked as my Sparkmate.
Bumblebee hugged me, but gently.
::Am I really going to be an uncle?:: he beeped, his large blue optics shiny with unshed tears.
I nodded and rubbed his yellow helm,"You sure are. So are Ultra Magnus, Smokescreen, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack. And Arcee gets to be the aunt."
"What about Ratchet?" Smokescreen asked.
"He's volunteered to be grand-sire," I replied happily.
Optimus walked over to me and took my servo,"I...need to talk with you for a minute."
"Someone wake Magnus up!" I called over my shoulder-plate as Optimus pulled me away to our berth-room.
I sat down on my berth and watched as Optimus closed and locked the door, then came to sit beside me.
"Please tell me you are not joking," he said softly, staring at his servos.
I smiled gently,"No, Optimus. I truly am with spark."
"And you never thought to tell me?" Optimus asked, still looking at his servos.
"I wanted it to be a surprise," I replied softly, my smile falling,"Are you upset with me?"
Optimus shook his helm and a tear splattered onto his servos. He was crying.
"No, Chardirakii, I'm not upset," he said, wiping at his cheeks,"I am overjoyed!"
He turned and hugged me, sending mixed messages of joy and confusion and love through our bond,"I'm so so happy."
I hugged him back.
Optimus pulled away and lightly rested a servo on my stomach,"How many are we expecting?"
"Triplets," I replied, my smile returning.
"Triple--oh, Chardirakii," Optimus grinned, kissing me deeply, then pulling away and gasping.
"I felt a kick! One of them kicked my servo!" he exclaimed excitedly.
I giggled,"They're excited to meet their sire."
"May I talk to them?" Optimus asked.
I chuckled, but nodded and lay down on the berth, resting my back-plates against some cushions.
Optimus knelt beside the berth and rested his chin on his arms near my stomach.
"Hello, little ones," he spoke,"You probably don't know this yet, but this is your sire talking to you."
I smiled and reached out to stroke the back of Optimus' helm as he continued to talk to my stomach.
"I'm going to be the best sire you could ever have," he said with a smile,"And your carrier and I are going to teach you so many amazing things. I hope you come soon, because we cannot wait to meet you and give you all our love and affections."
My smile widened as I continued to rub the back of Optimus' helm.
Optimus pressed a few gentle kisses to my stomach, then climbed into the berth next to me.
I turned my helm so our dermas could meet in a passionate kiss, one laced with carrier and sire affection.
"I can't wait to meet them either," I whispered.
Optimus rested a servo on my stomach again, and we fell asleep that way.
