I've never been to a house party before, so I did what I always do when I'm unsure of what to do - I googled it. Google is my savior, without it I wouldn't have a clue what I'm doing most of the time. Seeing as I don't really own any clothes that are any good for parties, I went shopping. Shoppings not really my thing but today I forced myself to go.

I look in the mirror after putting on my new clothes. My tight black dress is almost too short, but it'll do. I straighten my hair and leave it hanging loosely over my shoulders and apply a bright coat of red lipstick. I'm just finishing my make up when the door bell rings.

"Hey." I smile, greeting Sarah who's standing in the doorway. She's got a white knitted jumper layered over her jeans and a light layer of makeup.

"I'm looking for Jane, is this her house?" She asks.

I laugh, "I am Jane."

"Oh my gosh! You look so different!"

"Well, go hard or go home."

"You ready to go?" She questions, as I slip some black heels onto my feet.

I nod, and we head to the house next door. You can hear the music from my front door and it only gets louder. There's a few people drinking outside and some more making their way inside. From the looks of it, the parties been going a long time. Calum's passed out next to a bar that's been set up in her kitchen, and there's many more who look like their going to. Michael drunkenly stumbles into the room, his arm around some girls waist, their lips connected.

"How did you convince me to come here?" Sarah mutters to herself.

I make my way through the maze of dancing people to the bar and take a seat with Sarah. Amber must be rich, there's a professional bar, a dj, speakers in every room, food of all types, it's looks like a really expensive club when in reality it's a house identical to mine from the outside.

"What do you do at these things?" Sarah asks.

"This." I reply, downing a glass of something.

"Do you even know what that was?"

I shake my head, "No, but it tastes terrible."

"Vodka." Someone pipes up from behind the bar.

"Right, I'm leaving. It's not even legal for you to drink this stuff." Sarah sighs as she winds through the mass of people.

"Great." I mutter, now I'm left on my own.

I hear someone falling around, obviously wasted, and stumbling towards the bar. They take the seat Sarah was sitting in and start downing more alcohol. To my surprise, it's Luke.

"Hey." He slurs. "Your hot." He places a hand on my leg. "You wanna go upstairs?"

I remove his hand from my leg. "Shouldn't you be with your friends?"

"No, Calum's passed out, Mikey's off fucking some girl and Ashton's disappeared. There's only one person I wanna be with but she's not here."

"Who's that?"

"Jane. She said she'd come, and I knew she'd wimp out, but I thought she might come." He nearly falls off the bar stool.

He hasn't realized it's me. "Why do you want to be with Jane? I thought you hated her?"

"Nah, that's just the others. She's a nerd, it's bad for their image to like her. They just care about popularity, and girls. If a girls hot, they don't care about anything else. They've fucked almost everyone in the town."

"Oh yeah? And I bet you do that as well." I sigh turning from him.

He puts his hand on my shoulder and turns me around. "No, there's only one girl for me. And I've only known her a day. She's got this weird mousey brown hair, and terrible fashion sense, and she's a nerd, and a bit strange. But she's smart, I saw her in maths, she's a genius, and she's small, but not too small. The perfect height. And I love her, I don't know why but I do." He downs more drink.
