"This song." Luke begins. "Is very close to me. I wrote it at a time when I was away from someone I loved, and I thought that she didn't want me anymore. And I wanted this person so badly, and I just wanted both of us to be happy. This is if you don't know." He smiles at me before beginning to play.

"Oh my god." A blonde girl standing to me exclaims. "He just smiled at you."

"Eh, it's only Luke." I reply.

"Only Luke? This is Luke Hemmings, the Luke Hemmings from 5 seconds of summer. Why are you here if you don't care about him? Do you even like this band?"

"This band kinda sucks. That guys the worst." I point at Luke.

"How can you not like Luke?" She says, obviously not detecting my sarcasm. "Well, at least it means I have more of a chance with him." She snaps before walking further down the front row.

"Don't worry about her." A girl with bright pink hair says. "I've heard Luke's got a girlfriend anyway."

Once the shows finished I wait nervously backstage for them. I know that they performed well, but what about the audience? And what about the managers who were watching?

Ashton comes running off the stage, drumsticks clasped In his hand. "How did we do?" He asks, dripping with sweat.

"You sucked."

Calum, who's currently trying to wipe the sweat from his forehead, seems worried."Awh, shit. Really?"

"No." I chuckle. "You were amazing!"

"That was by far the best show we've ever done." Luke exclaims. "I could do that again. Can we go and do that again?"

"Won't have time for that yet, boys." A rather large man interrupts, appearing out of nowhere.

Michael doesn't seem too bothered by his sudden appearance, more confused about why he's here. "And you are?"

"Max Jones." He grins, offering his hand to Michael. "And I'm here to make you boys a deal."

"Jane, can we go sort this out?" Luke says. "My friend Alex works in the restaurant next door, he'll give you whatever you want to eat or drink. We'll meet you there in about an hour, okay?"

"Yeah." I reply as the boys follow Max into a rather unused looking door. "Good luck." I mouth to Luke just before he disappears into the room. This could be the chance they've been waiting for, the day that everything changes.

-

"Anymore chips?" Alex asks.

"No thanks." I reply looking at the large, now empty, bowl of chips sitting on the bar. "I think I've had enough to eat."

"Want a drink?"

I glance up at the clock, "No, no they should be back soon." I spend ten, long minutes waiting. Sitting in an empty restaurant with only Alex for company.

"So, how do you know the boys?" He asks, cleaning up one of the tables.

"I go to school with them, they're cool guys." I reply.

"Yeah? I've known them a while, they can be dumb asses but they've got talent."

I chuckle lightly, "You're right about that."

Ashton then charges into the room. "We got a fucking record deal!" He yells.

"This is the best day of my life!" Michael shouts, galloping in after Ashton.

"Guess it went well then?" I ask.

"Hell yeah!" Calum replies.

Luke slides onto the barstool next to me. "He said we had unmissable talent! And that it would be stupid not to give us a record deal!"

"Really? Guys, this is amazing!" I say. In all the excitement (and the boys acting like crazy puppies) we don't notice Max come walking into the restaurant.

Max stands, for who knows how long, in the doorway watching us (all of us still unaware of his presence).

"Jesus, Alex! I'm so fucking happy I could kiss you!" Luke exclaims, running around the bar towards him.

"Aren't you supposed to do that to Jane?" Ashton chuckles.

Luke, ignoring Ashton's comment, runs straight towards me and picks me up off the barstool and into his arms.

"Oh my god, Jane. Thank you so much for suggesting that we perform if you don't know. He said he loved that song, if it wasn't for you we might never had got this deal!" He plants a kiss on my forehead. "I love you so much right now."

"Wait, wait, wait..." Calum says, a look of confusion covering his face. "Are you two dating?"

Before me or Luke even has a chance to answer, Ashton speaks up. "They were making out on his kitchen floor yesterday."

"Oh my god." Michael says in shock. "You two are a thing!"

"Are we a thing?" Luke asks, realizing we didn't actually know this.

"I guess we are. I'm dating Luke fucking Hemmings!" I reply, as Luke places me back onto the ground.

"Luke's finally got a girlfriend!" Calum cheers, the others soon joining him.

Max, who's still in unnoticed in the room, begins to clap. "What a cute moment, guys. Luke, you never told me you had a girlfriend."

"It wasn't really part of the conversation, was it?" Luke replies.

"Well, it is now." Max tries to squeeze onto a bar stool. "I've got plans for you boys. Traveling across the country, across the world eventually. I'm not quite sure if you could fit her" he points directly at me. "Into the equation."

"I can." Luke answers confidently. "And I will."

"Would it really work? You two being apart for so long?" He says. He seems almost desperate to separate us, I've already decided he's a jerk.

"We wouldn't be apart." Luke grins. "Jane will come with us. Whenever, wherever."

Michael, seeing the opportunity, bursts into song. "Whenever, wherever. You're meant to be together."

"Seriously, dude? This isn't the time for Shakira." Calum says, shaking his head.

"Well, if you think you can, you can try. Just don't blame me if she ruins your career." Max states before leaving the restaurant.

"I don't think he likes you very much." Ashton says to me once he's gone.

I laugh lightly, "You don't say?"

"Can I just have an explanation? I'm confused, how long have you and Luke been together?" Michael asks.

"A day? Maybe?" I reply.

"And you didn't tell me?" Calum says. "Dude, I'm supposed to know who you're fucking."

"We're not fucking." Luke says. "She's like, a proper girlfriend. Which means I care about her and don't just fuck her and then leave." He shoots a look at Calum.

"That was once, dude!" Calum defends. Luke looks back at him in disbelief. "Okay, maybe it was twice. Or three times. I don't know, I lost count."

"What are you guys doing tonight?" Ashton asks out of the blue.

"Me and Jane will probably just go home and watch movies." Luke answers. "Why?"

"Well, my parents are out tonight and I was thinking we could have a little celebratory party." Ashton grins.

"Jane's not much of a party person, I think we'll miss this one out."

"No, no Luke. I'm up for a party." I say.

"Jane, you don't have to-"

"I want to. You guys need to celebrate."

"Yes Jane!" Ashton cheers, giving me a high five."I'll see you at mine then."
