"Jane, pass me a packet of chips!"

"I need Starbucks!"

"Are we nearly there yet?"

"Dammit, Ashton. You were supposed to go left."

"Can you all be quiet for even a minute?" I exclaim, turning up the volume of the radio.

"But I'm bored." Calum groans.

"We only left ten minutes ago!" Ashton replies.

"Ten minutes is fucking ages."

Realizing that I have no clue what the time is, I reach into my pocket to check my phone but then realize it isn't there. "Awh, shit." I mumble.

"What?" Ashton asks, quickly taking a right turn. "Is everything okay?"

"Can we make a quick stop at my house? My phones still there."

He nods slowly, "Yeah, it's only about five minutes away. It'll be easy enough."

As the car pulls up outside the house I've lived in my entire life, Luke gets up to go inside with me.

"Luke, would you mind staying here?" I ask. "You know, with my parents and everything, it's probably for the best."

"Yeah." He nods, sinking back into the seat. "I'll stay here."

I take the all too familiar path to the front door and look at the perfectly position flowers surrounding it. It's a great feeling to know I'm escaping this organized horror for the weekend.

"Jane!" Mom exclaims in shock as I open the door. "You're supposed to be at school."

"Uh, no." I reply, unlocking the safe which held my phone. The safe had been there my whole life, so I've always known the code but never had a use for it.

Mom stops cooking and stands with her hands firmly on her hips. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Getting my phone." I reply innocently. "I thought it looked pretty obvious to be honest."

Her anger slowly building, she continues questioning me. "What gives you the right to-"

"Gonna have to stop you there, mom. I need to go get a suitcase." I say, rushing up the stairs before she can stop me.

I know I've not got long before she comes looking for me, so I grab anything I can. Clothes, shoes, phone charger, Luke's T-shirt, along with a few other essentials.

As I expected, mom comes charging into my room a minute later. "Young lady, why do you need a suitcase?" She questions.

"Because I'm going away for the weekend." I reply chirpily, continuing to stuff the clothes into my bag.

Her rage finally explodes. "Jane Smith, you're with them, aren't you? Skipping school, running away with boys, at this age? Go back to school right this second or I will not hesitate to throw you out this house."

"Hang on...I just need to find my head phones." I mumble.

"You're not welcome here anymore." She snaps. "Take everything you want and get out my home and don't come back."

"I'm trying!" I reply, dragging my now full suitcase out my room. After almost throwing it down the stairs, I leave the house for good. The final slam of the door, the final look at the perfectly cut grass, before I'm out of here forever. I chuck my suitcase into the trunk of the car before getting back into the passenger seat.

It suddenly hits me, I have no home, no where to live anymore. "I fucked up." I sob, burying my head in my hands.

"I thought you just went to get your phone, what the fuck happened?" Ashton asks.
