History is normally a dull lesson, but something about today's lesson seems especially boring. As Mr Steel begins to explain what we are learning in today's lesson, I see Luke yawning across the room. Being a last lesson on a Friday, we're all bored and tired.

"One hour." Luke mouths to me. We've been looking forward to tonight all week, spending the weekend at Luke's means a weekend of freedom. The lesson feels like it lasts forever, but eventually the bell goes.

"Why do I sit so far away from you?" Luke complains as we leave the classroom.

"Because you were an annoying dick head at the beginning of the year." I reply, thinking about the constant annoyance that he was 2 months ago.

"Okay, I'll just let you go stay with your parents for the weekend then." He says, running off ahead of me.

"Luke!" I shout, running after him. "Why are you so annoying!"

"Saying I'm annoying won't make me run any slower!" He yells to me.

"Why do you run so fast?" I complain.

"Maybe you just run slow!" He teases. I mumble sorry multiple times as I try to dodge people walking through the hallways. I lose sight of Luke after a few minutes, but eventually catch up with him when he stops to speak to Michael.

"Hey Jane." Michael says.

"Hi." I pant.

"Why are you so out of breath?" Luke laughs.

"As if you don't know."

The walk home consisted of me and Luke talking while Michael kept saying how 'damn cute' we were. When Michael reaches the road to his house, it's a sort of relief to see him go.

"Have a good night!" Michael shouts. "And remember to use protection!" And then he disappears for the night.

"Mike's my best mate and everything, but he can be annoying as fuck some of the time." Luke laughs.

"Like you then." I reply.

"Am I really annoying?" He pouts.

"Yea, I'm only here for Liz." I tease, as Luke unlocks his front door.

"Mom!" Luke calls and is answered by silence. "I guess she's out, which means no cookies for you." He teases, knowing how much I love Liz's cookies.

"We could always make our own cookies." I suggest.

"Great idea, apart from I have no idea how to cook."

I laugh and pull him into his kitchen, "It's easy."

-

"What's this stuff even for?" Luke asks, holding up the bag of flour.

I look up from the bowl of cookie dough I'm making. "To help it rise and stuff." I reply.

He puts his flour-covered hands on my face, covering me in flour. "This is a better use though."

"Luke!" I laugh, wiping the flour back onto him.

"Hey!" He exclaims, throwing more flour onto me.

I grab the bag of flour off the counter and sprinkle it over Luke. He responds by getting another bag from the cupboard and chasing me around the kitchen with it.

"Luke!" I squeal, tripping over the dog food bowl which had somehow ended up in the center of the kitchen. I land flat on my back and Luke, being the clumsy idiot that he is, falls over me.

Luke, lying right on top of me, fixes his eyes on me. "Damn, you look hot right now." He says, brushing my flour-coated hair out my face.

"Being covered in flour is the height of hotness, you know." I chuckle.

He starts biting his lip ring, a nervous habit of his, and ends up eating a load of flour which had been covering his lips. "Shit, flour tastes bad." He says, spitting the flour from his mouth.

"Oh Really? I thought it would be delicious." I reply.

He laughs. "Wow, you're being sassy today."

"Well, I do try." We spend a few moments lying silently. This would be probably become incredibly weird if someone walked in right now, the kitchens covered in flour and Luke is lying on top of me.

"Would it be weird if I kissed you?" He asks in the middle of the silence.

I smile, "Nope, not at all." But before I can finish the sentence his lips are already connected to mine. I know we've kissed before, even if it was only a small kiss, but it was nothing like this. This kiss felt like it lasted forever, and I don't want it to end. And unlike before, we won't be interrupted by anyone, it's just us.

As he removes his lips from mine he smiles brightly. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."

"You know, over the past few days I've realised that I actually wanted to kiss you and I need you. Spending that month without you was horrible, I love you."

"I love you more." He replies before reconnecting his lips to mine.

"Jesus, you guys are so cheesy sometimes." Ashton interrupts, randomly appearing in the room and pouring himself a glass of juice.

"And when did you get here?" Luke asks. "And more importantly, how did you get in?"

"I think the real question here is why the hell are you two kissing on Luke's kitchen floor?"

I try to think of an explanation but there doesn't seem to be one."Erm..."

Ashton leans against the counter, "It doesn't help that you two are still lying on top of each other."

Luke gets up before helping me up as well.

"You guys should just date already, seriously, you're a great match."

Luke sighs. "Well, we were going to go on out second date, but then you interrupted."

"I can tell when I'm not wanted." Ashton says, faking a hair flick, placing his glass onto the counter and leaving the house.

"So, what's this about a second date?" I ask.

"It was supposed to be a surprise." Luke groans. "How did Ashton get here anyway?"

"Never mind that, we've kinda destroyed your kitchen." I look around the room which is now covered in flour along with other ingredients scattered across the surfaces.

"Oops." Luke says. "That'll have to wait until later 'cause we're going on a date now."

"Where to?"

"It's a surprise." He smiles.

By now I've realized just how unorganized Luke is, I'm pretty sure he'll be late to his own funeral."You forgot where you're taking me, didn't you?" I ask.

"Yeah, yeah I think I did." He laughs, running his fingers through his quiff (which has now been destroyed by the flour). "We'll leave in an hour, you might want to have a shower before we leave."

I look down at my arms which are coated in flour, "I think you're right about that."
