I wake up at around six am to find Luke fast asleep, almost on top of me, in only his underwear.
"What the-" I mutter, confused about how on earth this happened. I remember getting into bed last night, on my own, but nothing after that.
"Luke." I groan, pushing him off me. I accidentally push him too hard and he rolls completely off the bed.
"What the hell was that for?" He asks, climbing back into the bed.
"Well, I was gonna ask you why on earth we're here?"
"Basically, you fell head over heels in love with me and wanted to stay with me forever and ever. So you stayed the night, and we ended up here." He grins cheekily.
"No, seriously. What happened?"
"Honestly?" He asks.
"Honestly." I reply.
"You probably remember dinner and everything, but then we went back to my house. We watched mean girls for a bit, then got pizza and then you said you had to go home."
"Yeah, I know all of that, but then what happened?"
"I didn't want you to go, so you said you'd stay the night. But that involved sharing a bed, so here we are. Nothing else happened, we just slept in the same bed."
"Okay," I sigh, running my fingers through my messy hair. "I was worried I'd done something really stupid."
"Why would you think that?" He questions, pushing a few stray hairs behind my ear.
I look up and down at Luke. "Well, you are in only your underwear."
"And your fully clothed." He chuckles. He takes a quick look at his phone to check the time. "It's six, I'm going back to sleep." He buries himself deep into the covers and, after deciding I don't have to go home for a few more hours, I do the same.
"I don't want you to have to leave." Luke whispers.
"And I don't want to leave either." I reply. He opens up his arms as an invitation to cuddle, and to my own surprise, I accept his offer.
"I love you." He whispers into my neck. "I love you more than the sun shines, and more than the stars in the sky."
"I-I don't know if I can love you back." I mumble.
"What?" He says, pulling back from our hug.
"I'm not eighteen yet, I feel bad loving someone when my parents think I shouldn't."
"Jane, forget about your parents. Think about yourself for once, think about us."
I stand up and pick up my bag. "That's the problem, Luke. I've been carried away with thinking about what you want, or what I want, I haven't thought about how my parents would feel about any of this."
"Stop worrying about your parents. This doesn't affect them."
"But it does!" I almost shout. "They have to put up with my stupid decisions and you don't!"
He grabs my hands. "Look me in the eyes and tell me that you want to leave. Tell me that you don't care about me." His eyes meet mine but I instantly look away.
"I can't, you know I can't." I almost whisper. I drop his hands and leave his house, not wanting to look back.

"Hello dear," Mom smiles as I open our front door. "Charity work go well?""What?" I say, forgetting the lie I told her last night. "Oh, yeah, it was good."
"And the date went well?" She asks.
