Chapter 4- Communication Breakdown

Later Tonight
Grimwing was careful this time, making sure that he didn't attract any attention from flying airships. He quickly but quietly landed on top of a building that was across the CCT Tower in Vale. "What a strange world," commented Grimwing. "First there's light and forests now it's dark out and there's a city?" He transformed into his robot form as he then faced the tower and shone bright green lights from his optics on the tower. Grimwing then started gain some clear understanding of where he was and how things were run. He learned about everything there was about Remnant. Huntsman and huntresses are trained to be the planet's defenders against the Creatures of Grimm and criminal or terrorist organizations. There was also a strife between the humans and the Faunus. Grimwing also studied the files about the Creatures of Grimm as he finished his scanning and realized, "So that's why that military flying machine attacked me. They must have thought I was one of those soulless monsters. But wait, if the Emerald Forest is populated with Grimm, then why did I not see one?" The computer in his processor answered, "Energon may have the same properties as this planet's dust. Creatures of Grimm avoid these properties in order for their preservation, but they are dangerous to the planet's lifeforms." Grimwing gave some thought about those wooden crates filled with Energon crystals and the symbol they had. "This Schnee Dust Company must've mined for the Energon without what it was," said Grimwing. "The Atlas Kingdom's military must be looking for those crates I found. I need to find another place to live, but I need the Energon to survive if I want to live another solar cycle." He debated with himself. "I need the Energon, but I don't want to be considered a thief. Then again, my survival depends upon on it if I want to live. Surely being alive and having the sustenance to survive isn't considered evil, right?" Grimwing sighed as he then decided, "Fine, I'll take the Energon, but if the local lifeforms intervene I'll only attack if all options are exhausted. I'm going to need something to hold the Energon crystals, though." He jumped up and transformed into his beast mode. Grimwing flew up and over the city until he saw a closed car dealership. He then saw a car covered with some kind of material. Grimwing descended down and studied the car cover. He gently took the car cover off the vehicle and noted, "This should be big enough to hold all my Energon. I should go before someone sees me." Grimwing flapped his wings up and activated his jet propellers and thrusters on his way back to the Emerald Forest.

Meanwhile At Beacon Academy
Sari Sumdac was already in her pajamas like her fellow first year students who sharing the same room. She set up her sleeping bag as she noticed two girls getting into a catfight in front of a black-haired girl with a bow on her head and a white long-haired girl intervene and scold her. Sari slightly smiled in amusement as she then turned to see a violet-haired girl with pale purple pajamas sitting in front of the moonlit window. She walked over to the violet-haired girl and greeted, "Hi, I'm Sari. What's your name?" Not answering, the girl responded, "Do you mind? I'm mediating." Sari frowned, "Well, sorry. Just wanted to make friends." The girl muttered, "An entire year trying to commune with the spirits and this dump is what I have to show for it?" Shari noticed the hurt in her voice and asked, "Is something wrong?" The girl stood up and sighed, "First I fail to protect my own home and now this!" She hit the wall, leaving several cracks on it that made Sari wince. The girl turned to her and exclaimed, "Do you have any idea what it's like to embark on a path, only to find it so completely twisted and turned that you have no idea where you are?!" Sari put her hand on the girl's shoulder and replied, "Oddly enough, I do." The girl calmed down as she said, "Lavender Lilac." The two sat down together as they looked at the shining broken moon through the moon.

At The Emerald Forest
Grimwing made it back to where he found the Energon crystals. He changed into his robot form as he sighed with relief. "Good thing no soldier or Grimm touched the Energon crystals while I was away," said Grimwing. "Better start packing and head somewhere no one will find me." He began to put several more Energon crystals into the car cover which became his sack bag. Grimwing held out his forearm and it opened up the red tire to reveal a map of the entire Emerald Forest. "There's an abandoned corporation building several miles from my location," analyzed Grimwing. "It's the perfect place to hide and better yet a home on this planet." The computer forewarned, "You must take an eight-megacycle stasis nap in order to recharge your Energon levels and systems." Grimwing agreed, "It's a long trip, so I better get some shut-optic." He switched to his beast mode and put down his bag as he laid next to it. First that new home, thought Grimwing before slumber took over. Then figure out where to find more Energon...
