Chapter 27- Operation: Scorponok Part 2

Scorponok had no choice but to watch the MECH dissect him with their instruments. He couldn't feel any of the pain but the Decepticon watched in horror as his internal parts were out in the open. His visor had a hole and a couple cracks surrounding it. General Landgren Levichev smiled sadistically, "Intriguing. Living technology trumps even Atlas military technology. Soon MECH will discover how to create beings like yourself, and we will run the world with the most innovative technology. MECH indeed thanks you in advance in case if you don't survive." Scorponok's fanged mouth snarled at the man with pure hatred. He mentally vowed if he gets out of this, he will make Levichev suffer.

Outside
A GroundBridge opened up as Team CLST and the Autobots minus Grimwing went out. They raised their weapons as they looked around the deserted town. Tanner Auburn asked, "So where do you think they went?" Sari Sumdac in her armor replied, "Don't know. They could be anywhere." Leobreaker transformed into his Grimm Nemean mode and suggested, "Why won't we do this the old-fashioned way, and follow our noses?" He sniffed the ground looking for Scorponok's scent. Leobreaker raised his head up and sniffed hard. "Scorponok was definitely here," said Leobreaker. "It seems he was carried by air. Also there were scents of humans and ground vehicles. Rescuee." The Autobot medic nodded as she transformed into her helicopter mode and ascended up as her visual scanners looked around to see a railroad tunnel and couple green and black sports cars driving around it. "I have a visual of hostiles at fifty mechanometers due north," reported Rescuee via coms. Leobreaker nodded, "Copy that. Let's go." Colby Charcoal shook his head and muttered, "Still can't believe we're doin' this." Sari and Lavender Lilac climbed on Leobreaker's back who ran in all fours while Viperina turned into her King Taijitu form as Colby and Tanner went on her back and she slithered to catch up with her leader. Rescuee followed from the air as Leobreaker ordered via the coms, "Rescuee, you attack first. We'll catch up." Rescuee turned her helicopter mode into a faster aerial form much like the Combaticon Vortex and boosted ahead of her fellow Autobots. Rescuee boosted her gyrodyne-like form toward the MECH vehicles and instantly transformed into her robot form as she smashed one of the cars' hoods and backhanded a MECH soldier. Several more MECH soldiers came in as Leobreaker and Viperina in their robot forms joined in the fight as well as Team CLST. Leobreaker's arm turned into a Path Blaster and shot at the incoming enemy soldiers as Rescuee joined in with her E.D.K. TechVolt. MECH airships came in as Viperina shot her Throwback Blaster at them.

Inside The Tunnel
Levichev watched from the surveillance in surprise. He was expecting Scorponok's allies, not his enemies to rescue him. "Seems your enemies are risking their lives to save you," said Levichev to Scorponok. The Decepticon scoffed, "That doesn't make any sense. No Autobot would rescue me."

Outside
Leobreaker turned to Viperina and ordered, "You and Team CLST get into the tunnel and rescue Scorponok! Rescuee and I will handle MECH! Go!" Viperina and Sari nodded as the five ran inside the tunnel. Rescuee gritted her metallic teeth and changed her other arm into a Thermo Rocket Cannon and blasted several rockets at the MECH airships. "I didn't know you had that weapon," said Leobreaker with slight amusement. Rescuee grumbled, "Overhaul and Warpath gave me that weapon during Tyger Pax! And it was our anniversary!" He nodded as he continued blast the MECH soldiers.

Inside The Tunnel
Levichev turned to the specialist and Hunter Jetriksen and asked, "Do we have the necessary information we need?" Hunter nodded, "Yeah." The general then gestured to his men to the exit and everyone left as Scorponok watched with fury. That was when Viperina and Team CLST came in and he peered at them. Colby walked over to Scorponok's broken visor and stared, "This must be your lucky day." He backed away as Viperina and Sari began to remove Scorponok's restraints. "What are you doing?" asked Scorponok confusingly. Viperina frowned, "What does it look like? We're getting you out of here. Believe it." She helped him up as she asked, "Can you walk?" Scorponok closed up his external parts to cover his internals as he nodded, "Yeah, I think so." The seven heard the alarm blaring as Viperina asked, "Can you run?" Scorponok opened up his claw to reveal rockets and declared, "Never run when you can fight." She frowned, "Just keep that away from me and my friends. Okay?" The seven began running out of the tunnel as they met up with some resistance from MECH soldiers shooting at them. Sari formed a shield to block out the bullet fire as Colby and Tanner shot back at them. The two Cybertronians knocked away the soldiers and continued to run.

Outside
The seven joined in Leobreaker and Rescuee's battle against MECH. They blasted and smashed MECH's vehicles and dodged against the terrorist group's gunfire. Everyone was starting to get tired out for a while but continued to press on.

Levichev didn't like his odds as he grabbed a radio and ordered, "Everyone retreat! There will be another opportunity!"

The Autobots, Decepticon, and Team CLST tiredly noticed their enemy falling back as Scorponok raised his claw to shoot one of the airships but Leobreaker intervened, "No, Scorponok. There's no point in continuing the fight when clearly is retreating and you're in no position to fight again." Scorponok growled, "That might fly on your Autobot protocol, but not in a Decepticon." Leobreaker offered, "At least have my medic take a look at you." Then suddenly a familiar voice retorted, "I think not, Leobreaker!" They turned to see Buzzsaw and Strika as the Decepticon commander added, "Relinquish Scorponok to me, now." Leobreaker turns to his Autobots and Team CLST and motioned them to back away to which they complied. Scorponok limped over to his fellow Decepticons as Buzzsaw said, "I should thank you for saving my soldier, but this does not change anything. Nor will it." He activated his GroundBridge remote as a portal appeared as Scorponok smirked, "Tough break, Autobots. Maybe in the next life." The three went into the portal as it closed. Sari suggested, "Wanna go back home?" Leobreaker agreed, "Yes, if I'm not mistaken you four have training to do for your upcoming festival." Tanner nodded, "Yep. The Vytal Festival."

Somewhere At Mountain Glenn
As Scorponok began restoring himself in the CR Chamber, Buzzsaw went back to the holoscreen to see the protoform dots and saw the object was now moving ahead of the protoforms. "What is that?" asked Strika. "I have never seen anything go that fast." Buzzsaw answered, "The means to defeat our enemies. The past come calling..."

Meanwhile...
Levichev studied the diagrams of Scorponok on a orange-colored holoscreen and recorded, "The test subject escaped, but we managed to sanitize the location and transfer most of the newly acquired data to another facility. The diagnostic scans of the subject's vital components were thorough enough for us to initiate Project Chimera. The power of the living machines will, someday soon, belong to MECH."
