RWBY: More Than Meets The Eye

Chapter 7- Team CLST

Sari Sumdac and Lavender Lilac made it to an abandoned temple where they found several chess pieces. "Chess pieces?" asked Sari. Lavender inquired, "They must be what we were sent to retrieve for Professor Ozpin." They walked around the abandoned temple as Sari picked up a knight piece and suggested, "How about a knight?" Lavender shrugged, "Sure, why not?" That was when both Colby Charcoal and Tanner Auburn showed up. "And then I said--" said Tanner until the two boys stopped and Colby waved, "Hello ladies! Come here often?" Sari chuckled softly and Lavender facepalmed. Tanner said sarcastically, "You were smooth on that one, Colby." The visored young man replied, "Hey, smooth 'n cool are my thing!" Tanner shook his head and introduced, "I'm Tanner, and Mr. Cool here is Colby. What're your names?" Sari smiled, "I'm Sari." Colby assured, "Don't be. I like my name and bein' cool 'n smooth." Sari corrected, "No, my name is Sari. I'm not apologizing." Tanner and Colby nodded, "Oh, okay." Lavender frowned, "My name is Lavender Lilac, and your 'cool 'n smooth' thing doesn't impress me at all." Tanner asked, "She always like this?" Sari answered, "Most of the time." The boys went over to the temple and collected their knight pieces. "So where is everybody else?" asked Tanner. Colby guessed, "They musta already got their pieces. Guess we're the last ones to the dinner table." Sari spoke up, "On my way here, I found tracks belonging to both a Beowolf and Nevermore. Have you seen any strange looking Grimm on the way here?" Colby responded, "Me 'n Tanner took down some of our fair share of Grimm, plus a couple Beringels, but nothin' about what you said. Sure you're not imaginin' things?" Lavender looked up and pointed, "Hey, something is flying above us." The four looked up to see an object flying overhead. Tanner asked, "Nevermore?" Sari replied, "Too small and moving too fast." Lavender asked, "One of our school's airships?" Colby shook his head and said, "Naw. Too small to be an airship, girl." He zoomed his visor in on the flying object in the sky and adjusted the image when his eyes widened, "Holy whoa! It's some kinda Beowolf with wings flyin' like an airship carryin' some kinda bag!" Lavender asked, "Should we do something?" Tanner aimed his gun via targeting scope at one of the wings' propellers and smirked confidently, "Time to get my jump on!" Sari tried to intervene, "Tanner, wait!" It was too late. He had already shot his weapon.

Grimwing was flying as fast as he could without getting noticed by the four first-year students. Unfortunately he felt one of propellers suddenly blow up as it took him by surprise and made him spiraling down out of control and dropping his bag. Grimwing fell on his back and his bag fell a few meters away from him. "Damage report," muttered Grimwing. The computer responded, "Damage sustained on right wing propeller. Recommendation: repairs." He got back up on all fours and shifted wheels on his wrists and ankles. Grimwing drove with his only good propeller toward his bag. He turned his head to see four people run after him. Grimwing skidded to stop in front of his bag and shifted his wheels back to his wrists and ankles. He stood on his hind legs as the four held their weapons in front of him. "Please," reasoned Grimwing. "I mean no harm. I just want to find a place to call home." The four first-year students were surprised to see a Beowolf with Nevermore wings, talons, and tail feathers and hearing it talk. "Since when do Grimm talk and Beowolves fly?" asked the one with a visor over his eyes. The one wearing red and brown replied, "I don't think this Grimm is an ordinary Grimm!" The one wearing light orange and cream colored clothing rolled her eyes and frowned, "Oh, you think? I was going to tell you something before you fired at him!" The purple-themed one asked, "What if it's some kind of trick?" Grimwing assured, "It's not a trick. Here, I'll prove it." He transformed into his robot form which made the four humans lost in bewilderment. "My name is Grimwing," introduced Grimwing. "What are yours?"

Later At Beacon Academy
The four had already introduced themselves as Sari Sumdac, Lavender Lilac, Colby Charcoal, and Tanner Auburn to the Autobot Grimwing. Everyone at the academy was confused of seeing a robot vaguely similar to the Creatures of Grimm. As of right now, there was a ceremony where teams of first-year students were being made thanks to the headmaster Professor Ozpin. Grimwing tried his best not to feel uncomfortable with all the stares he was receiving. Finally it was the turn for the four first-year students he met. Ozpin announced, "Colby Charcoal, Lavender Lilac, Sari Sumdac, and Tanner Auburn. The four of you have retrieved knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CLST. Led by Sari Sumdac!" The crowd cheered as Grimwing also applauded in kind.

Afterwards
Grimwing, along with the newly appointed Team CLST, met up with Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch. "So... can we keep him, professor?" asked Sari. Ozpin strokes his chin in thought as he responded, "First this, Grimwing has to clear things up with me and the Council of Vale." Glynda added, "Not to mention General Ironwood and the Council of Atlas as well." Ozpin nodded as he looked at the team and ordered gently, "For now, go to your new quarters while we talk to your friend." The four reluctantly agreed as they walked away before Sari hugged Grimwing's leg and let go to follow her team. "Where to, Professor Ozpin?" asked Grimwing. The headmaster answered, "My office."
