Chapter 14- The Thrill Of The Hunt

The Teletraan-1 computer node was safely placed into one of Beacon Academy's isolated bunkers. Luckily the bunker blocked the computer node's signals so it won't be detected by MECH or Buzzsaw. Right now General James Ironwood was talking with Professor Ozpin and Grimwing about the Teletraan-1 computer node and what to do with it. "We should use the weapon locker to help our soldiers talk down Buzzsaw and MECH," stated Ironwood. Grimwing objected, "I'm afraid the Cybertronian weapons are only utilized for Cybertronian-use only. Even if you can manage find a way to reverse-engineer the weapons, what is to stop your enemies from stealing it? I heard on the news the White Fang managed to steal many weapons from your bases. If you, the White Fang, and MECH manage to reverse-engineer Cybertronian weapons, then Remnant will become a new Cybertron: a planet in a civil war where every side loses." Ozpin agreed, "It's better if this alien technology remains in the bunker with Grimwing." Ironwood reluctantly agreed, "Fine. I trust your judgment on this, for now." His image flickers away as Grimwing sighed, "I understand that he feels he has to protect this world, but weapons from my home aren't going to be the answer." Ozpin assured, "Ironwood always feels he should hold the world on his shoulders, but often times he'll listen to reason." Grimwing nodded, "I should go to help my friends set up a base."

Beacon Academy's Bunker
Grimwing meets up with Team CLST at the bunker. "How is everything?" asked Grimwing. Sari Sumdac and Colby Charcoal were busy with getting the Teletraan-1 computer node to work. Tanner Auburn was doing some of the heavy lifting while Lavender Lilac was sitting alone. Sari smiled, "Colby and I are trying to get the computer to work. Tanner's got everything cleaned up." Grimwing saw that the computer node was nearly completed. "How did you do this?" asked Grimwing in disbelief. "Cybertronian technology is very complex." The team leader explained, "I have a technology-based semblance. Not only am I capable of generating my weapons out of thin air and shooting orbs out of my palms, but I'm able to well... 'talk' to machines simply by touching them and they 'say' what they require." Colby joked, "So is there any way you can block my aunt Ester's calls on my answerin' machine with your techno mojo?" Sari frowned, "Colby!" Tanner agreed, "Why would you do that?" The visored young man replied, "I know she's family and everythin', but she worries! The minute she hears about evil robots and masked bad guys, Aunt Ester calls me and sends me anxiety cookies!" Tanner chuckled, "So what if your aunt worries, at least her cookies are delicious." Sari and Colby frowned, "Tanner!" Grimwing smiles with amusement and noticed that Lavender wasn't interacting with any of her teammates. He walked over to her and asked, "Is everything all right, Lavender?" She didn't respond to him as Grimwing said, "Your friends and I don't like it when you shut us off. We care about you, you know." Lavender tried her best to ignore him as Grimwing added, "You can talk about what you're feeling with us, right?" She sighed, "I still want to talk about it, okay? Just leave me be." He nodded as he left the violet-haired girl alone. Grimwing thought, Maybe I shouldn't have pressed her too hard...

Meanwhile
General Levichev the leader of MECH and a few masked soldiers waited for a while as a ponytailed big man with a right arm hook dressed in a black leather jacket with spikes, light green shirt, black leather pants, and white boots came out from the shadows. "What's up, Levichev?" smirked the man. Levichev responded, "Hunter Jetriksen. I have job for you that acquires your unique skills." Hunter sighed, "Guess you didn't call me down here for my personality. So what's the sitch?" The MECH leader answered, "For ten million lien, find and capture four specific students and their robotic companion." He showed the mercenary images of Team CLST and Grimwing. Hunter looked at Lavender's image and smiled unpleasantly, "This should be fun."

Back At The Bunker
Sari and Colby finally got the computer node working. "Teletraan-1 active," said the node robotically. "Scanning subject." The computer scanned Sari much to her surprise. "Species: Human. Armaments: Two energy orb blasters, Two Master Blades, One Hyperspace Mallet, Azusa energy skates, and One Skyboom Shield." She said, "This thing just named all of my weapons." Colby smiled, "Sweet!" Grimwing walked over to the computer node as it scanned him and said, "Subject: Grimwing. Species: Cybertronian. Affiliation: Autobot. Armaments: One Energon axe and One Energon shotgun." Then the computer node started to display various Cybertronian weapons on the screen. Tanner pulled out his scroll and sighed, "We got to go or we're going to be for Professor Peach's class." Team CLST left the bunker as Grimwing waved goodbye and said, "Have a nice day in your classes." He turned back to the computer node as he started looking through the weapon locker.

Sari noticed Lavender was more withdrawn with her teammates. "Is there something wrong?" asked the team leader. The violet-haired young woman ignores her as Sari frowned, "Will you just tell us what's been eating you up inside since we met? Because honestly I've had it up to here with you keeping secrets and ignoring us!" Lavender paused as Colby and Tanner chuckled awkwardly. "Yeah, we gotta get goin'," said Colby with a nervous laugh. Tanner nodded, "Y-Yeah, catch up with us when you can." The boys left as both Sari and Lavender faced each other without moving their gaze at each other. Finally breaking the silence Lavender asked, "So do you really want to know?" Sari nodded, "Yes."
