Chapter 35- A Bridge Too Close

Somewhere At Mountain Glenn
Buzzsaw oversaw Strika, Scorponok, Darkfang, and the still mind-controlled Nemesis Primal begin to upgrade the Decepticon GroundBridge. Strika asked, "What is the purpose of the modified GroundBridge? We have our army." Buzzsaw answered, "The Dark Spark has granted me the knowledge of trans-dimensional travel." Scorponok looked bewildered of this as Buzzsaw said simply, "I'm bringing the Decepticon army here. Megatron and everyone else." Darkfang questioned, "Why not use this mighty army and the plasma energy stores we have to cyber-form this planet and bring back Cybertron for the Decepticons?" Buzzsaw frowned, "Megatron is still our leader, dead or alive. Clearly Galvatron's influence has rubbed off of you. Perhaps when we bring Megatron here, he'll remind you who leads the Decepticons. Otherwise do you wish take it up with Nemesis Primal or do you want to get back to work?" Darkfang stared hard at Buzzsaw's optics before deciding to get back to work with his brainwashed rival. Strika asked, "How do you know where Megatron and his Decepticon army is?" Buzzsaw replied, "The Dark Spark's knowledge has told me that the unstable portal over Cybertron sent us to an alternate universe where Earth is no more. That is where we are, but with the new GroundBridge we will reunite with him. Not only will I gift Megatron the Dark Spark and our Cyber Grimm army, but also the opportunity to rule Cybertron, Earth, and Remnant." Darkfang frowned as he thought, Such ambition wasted on serving our dead leader. We should rule Cybertron and Remnant without Megatron holding us back.

Beacon Academy, At The Bunker
Sky Warper walked out from the elevator as the Autobots saw him and Leobreaker asked, "What is it, Sky?" He answered, "Professor Ozpin told me to give this message to you. He said the only way the Decepticons knew about the Grimm enhancement formula is at the Merlot Industries building in Mountain Glenn." Rescuee instantly remembered, "Merlot Industries! I remember the name from the piece of metal the Decepticons left behind." Grimwing pressed a few keys as Teletraan-1 droned, "Mountain Glenn. According to records it was once an attempt to create a new Kingdom before being overrun by Creatures of Grimm. Dr. Merlot was last heard of in Mountain Glenn before being declared missing-in-action or dead. Likely the latter." Leobreaker figured, "The Decepticons maybe using the company building as a base of operations." Grimwing asked, "Do you think Merlot is helping the Decepticons?" Leobreaker shook his head and replied, "No. If the Decepticons wanted the formula, they would have taken it from him and killed him. Believe me, I know." Rescuee placed her hand on Leobreaker's shoulder as he added, "And it is probably likely the Decepticons found it abandoned." Leobreaker turned to Teletraan-1 and asked, "Where is the Merlot Industries building located?" The computer node answered, "Location unknown. Data has been lost since Dr. Merlot was reported deceased or missing." Leobreaker ordered, "Rescuee, set the GroundBridge coordinates for Mountain Glenn. We must rescue Nemesis Primal and stop the Decepticons." Then Team CLST came out from the elevator as Sari Sumdac announced, "Not without us." Sky intervened, "I'm not sure that's a good idea. Mountain Glenn is restricted from first year students." Colby Charcoal disagreed, "C'mon! We've been fighting the Decepticons before you came into the picture." Lavender Lilac stated, "It is our fight as much as it is theirs." Tanner Auburn smiled, "Besides, I'm ready to bust some Decepti-Chops." Leobreaker nodded, "Agreed. Let's go." Sky watched as the GroundBridge opened and both the Autobots and Team CLST entered into it as it then closed in a flash.

Mountain Glenn
The Autobots and Team CLST jumped out of the portal with their weapons ready in all directions. Leobreaker retracted his Path Blaster as he turned to Rescuee and ordered, "Take to the sky and set your scanner for the Dark Spark's energy." She leaped up and shifted to her ambulance-themed helicopter form to ascended. Rescuee focused her scanners as she circled around in place until she stopped. She then descended to the others and reported, "I got a trail. Follow me." Rescuee turned into her ambulance mode and opened her doors to allow Team CLST to enter inside. The rest of the Autobots shifted into their beast modes and followed suit. Leobreaker and Grimwing sniffed the air as the winged Beowolf reported, "I have Buzzsaw's scent. We must be getting close!" Viperina slithered next to Leobreaker as she thought, Hold on, Nemesis. We're coming for you!

Merlot Industries Building, Decepticon Base
The Decepticon's GroundBridge was now upgraded to accommodate with Buzzsaw's Dark Spark. Strika went over to him and reported, "Komandir, the Autobots are coming. It appears they know where our base is." Buzzsaw ordered, "You, Nemesis Primal, Darkfang, and Scorponok will occupy the Autobots with some of our new troops while I secure the coordinates of the dimension Megaton and his army are." As the brainwashed Autobot along with the three Decepticons and Cyber-Grimm left, Buzzsaw worked with the Dark Spark's knowledge to type in the dimension where Earth had Autobots led by Optimus Prime and Decepticons led by Megatron. A neon purple portal opened as Buzzsaw walked up to it. He opened his palm to see a circular yellow communications device and threw it into the portal.

The Autobots stopped as they saw not only the Merlot Industries building, but also Strika, Scorponok, Nemesis Primal, and Darkfang. Following behind them were numerous Cyber-Grimm and reprogrammed androids. Team CLST got out of Rescuee's ambulance form as she and the rest of the Autobots transformed into their robot forms. They got their weapons ready as Leobreaker ordered, "Autobots attack!" Then both sides ran toward each other ready for battle.
