Chapter 19- Meeting New Foes

Grimwing had Team CLST on his beast mode's back as his wing's jet propellers and thrusters flew them hurriedly to the Energon Mine. "My dad was working at that mine!" said Colby Charcoal worriedly. "Hope we're not too late!" Sari Sumdac asked, "Are you sure this is the only fastest way, Grimwing?" The Autobot replied, "Unfortunately, yes. Now hang on tight!" He flew even faster as Team CLST hung on as Sari exclaimed, "I wish I had a jet pack or something!"

At The Mine
The Decepticons Strika and Scorponok fought against the Atlesian Military to guard their Energon crystals as well as keep their hostages the miners and Sky Warper. Eventually the soldiers got the call from their general pulled away. Scorponok crowed, "Ha! Look at those organics flee in cowardice!" Strika pressed the side of her head which activated her communication link to the Decepticon base. "We have the Energon, komandir," reported Strika. "Resistance has retreated and awaiting GroundBridge." Scorponok looked up as his audio receptors heard a jet thruster coming their way as he replied, "I hear more resistance coming. You take the Energon." The GroundBridge opened as Strika took the Energon crystals and ran inside it as it closed. Scorponok watched as the jet thruster noise belonged to a gray, yellow green, blue green, and yellow Grimm Beowolf with Nevermore wings land on the ground with four humans that had weapons. It was none other than Grimwing and Team CLST. "So you must be the Autobot and the four humans Buzzsaw mentioned," smirked Scorponok. Grimwing transformed into his robot form and stated, "You've done enough damage for one solar cycle, Decepticon. Are you going to stand down?" Scorponok scoffed, "Doubtful." Without warning, he swung his scorpion tail at Grimwing and the Autobot fell on his face. Sari got mad as her robotic suit formed and shot an energy orb that pushed the Decepticon back. Sari ordered, "Colby, Lavender, go to the mine and help the survivors! Tanner, you help Grimwing get back to his feet." Both Colby and Lavender ran to the mine but that didn't go unnoticed by Scorponok. He started to raise his left claw toward them but his face was hit by Sari's flying energy hammers which was thrown by her. Tanner helped Grimwing get back up as the Autobot shifted his right hand into an axe and his left hand into a Path Blaster. Grimwing and Tanner then ran to join Sari in fighting against Scorponok.

Colby and Lavender ran into the mine to see both Sky Warper and Colby's dad Sherman Charcoal being tended by the surviving miners. Without thinking, Colby ran to see his dad and took off his visors as the older man looked up to see his son. "D-Dad?" asked Colby with his voice breaking. Trying to reassure his son, Sherman smiled, "I'm all right, kiddo. Just livin' dangerously..." He hissed in pain while adding, "Like my son..." Lavender said, "Your father and Sky need immediate help, but we can't move unless there's space between the Decepticon out there and us." Colby half-listened to her as he asked, "Where's Rick?" Sherman's positive demeanor faltered as he apologized, "I'm sorry, but..." Colby's eyes filled with tears as he denied, "No..." Rick was like an uncle to him. His face looked down as he felt Lavender's hand on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry..." said Lavender with empathy. Colby disappeared into his shadow that made her yelp in surprise. Lavender's eyes darted around in all directions as she called, "Colby!"

Scorponok used his claws block off both Sari and Tanner's gunfire as Grimwing ran toward him shooting his Path Blaster. Scorponok ran toward the Autobot with claws and tail ready. Scorponok swung and snapped his claws at Grimwing who dodged him  and jerked his body off to the side when Scorponok struck his tail but the stinger got embedded into the ground. Grimwing sliced Scorponok's tail which made him yell out in pain as what remained of his tail that was on his back and on the ground started to leak out bright blue liquid Energon. Scorponok opened up his right claw with rockets and pointed it at Grimwing in anger but before he fire his rockets at the Autobot, Sari shot a bright blue energy orb in Scorponok's claw which blew up his entire forearm which made him scream. Tanner ran and threw his axe into Scorponok's knee which made the Decepticon fall on one knee. Tanner spotted two boulders and used his semblance to lift up the rocks and telekinetically throw them at Scorponok's face. The Decepticon yanked Tanner's weapon out of his knee and threw it to the side as he tried to stand back up. Grimwing then did a spin kick that connected to Scorponok's jaw. The Decepticon stumbled backwards as he spat out a metallic tooth. Suddenly Colby launched out from Scorponok's shadow to meet with the his visage. Colby swung his double-bladed scythe and scarred half of Scorponok's visor. He then dove back into Scorponok's shadow and reappeared by Grimwing's side. Scorponok hobbled with heavy wounds that leaked Energon. A GroundBridge opened up beside him as Scorponok retreated into it before the portal closed with a flash. "What was that?" asked Sari with amazement. Grimwing answered, "That's a GroundBridge, a much more faster way of navigating through this planet." Colby looked up at Grimwing and glared, "And you didn't think to make us one?!" Grimwing looked down at him and replied, "I don't have the knowledge to make us one... Ozpin said he was going to invite Sari's father to help us." Colby shook his head as Sari shifted out of her armor and asked, "What's wrong?" He looked at her and replied, "Don't you ever think that Grimwing brought his planet's war to our planet?" Sari frowned, "Grimwing didn't bring his war here, Buzzsaw did! You and I both know it!" Colby exhaled angrily as Tanner asked, "Is your dad okay?" Colby calmed down a little and answered, "He is, but he and Sky need to go to the hospital. I'm gonna go with him to the hospital, but after that I quit." Everyone looked at him in shock as Colby walked back to the mine.
