"So, you passed through examination quite quickly," Mr. Healy says, examining the papers in front of him, which I presume to be my files. His eyes quickly skim through the file.
"You have a pretty clean record, which is impressive."
I suppress a smile. I hate when people read my personal information, but hey, it's prison, and I'm another open file in the cabinet. -_-
"You seem like you probably want to get out of this office room, and this prison as soon as possible."
I nod my head swiftly, and he smiles.
"Well that's good, because you seem like a outstanding citizen. But...."
His smile turns to a frown.
"There are not so very great people in this prison. And...." He leans in closer, and whispers, "lesbians."
Well naturally, I'd be offended, because you know, I'm gay. But I really have no choice but to agree with him, or else, knowing the homophobic vibe he's got going on, he'll probably sentence me more time.
"Oh no, not the lesbians," I say monotonous, holding back the many laughs, and with the most serious face I can muster.
"There are many." He whistles. "Many, many, many. Wow! There are a LOT of inmates arriving today." He looks on his computer. Man, I miss Tumblr already.
"Well sir, I'd love to talk about the negative effects lesbians must have on this prison, but I really need to get some sandals, and I need to make my bed to make sure it's spick and span for inspection!"
He laughs and says, "Alright, Hannah. Don't worry about prison, you'll be out before you know it!" I shake his hand and walk out the door. Lord, I hope I'll be out before I know it.
I decide to walk around the prison, and see what I missed. Alright, yoga room, kitchen.... I list off in my mind, before I find myself on the floor. What the?
"Oh, sorry."
A black haired girl apologizes, helping me up. She's very attractive, let's be honest, eh? She too is wearing an orange suit.
"It's okay.....?" I don't know her name yet, shit!
"Alex.... Alex Vause." She holds her hand out, and I shake it.
"Hannah Hart...." I reply. She smiles, and I feel the corners of my mouths rise.
"So, Hannah Hart, what did you do to end up in here?"
"Well, they actually couldn't figure out who did the crime, so they ended up just sending us ALL to jail until they do, which will probably be never."
Alex's eyebrows furrow.
"So, what did you get in here for?" I try to stay away from the obvious question she clearly wants to ask.
"Oh! I was a drug dealer." She smirks. I feel my face go pale. Wow. Was not expecting that answer. I was thinking more, 'arrested for being too beautiful to the human eye', but that's just me.
"That's cool... Well, Alex, I guess I'll see you at lunch?"
"Sounds great, Hannah."
She turns away, as do I, and we go our separate ways. I turn around to get a last glimpse at her walking away, and when I turn around, I feel her eyes on me.
-meanwhile, outside of the prison-
-Piper's POV-
Self surrendering is a hard thing to do. However, words feel like weights dragging me down, so finally I was free from it. But not free from the consequence. Prison.
Right when Larry and I get our sandwiches out, three girls enter the room, and Officer Bell looks up.
"We are not accepting visitors today."
They all look at each other, and laugh.
"Nah ma'am, it's all good. We're here for the slammer, not the inmates."
One girl has long brown hair, a baseball shirt that says Camp Takota (never heard of it), and jeans.
The second girl has blonde hair with a purple streak in the front. She's dressed a lot more formally, with a nice top, and jeggings... And the last girl has a shirt that says "What up, T-Shirt Reference?!", a SnapBack, and some cutoff jean shorts. They all politely smile at, and then take their seats across the room from us. Right now, Larry's going off about how much he'll miss me, and I love him and all, but I choose to ignore him and listen to their conversation.
The blonde girl says, "So, are you guys ready? Because I sure as hell am not." She has a beautiful yet goofy smile spread across her face.
"Is anyone ever going to be ready to go to prison? Is that a thing?" The brown girl says, laughing nervously. The blonde and black haired girls are laughing it up, but the brown haired girl looks anxious.
Poor girl. I'm the same way. They're all VERY attractive... It makes me kind of jealous.
"Hey, Grace, it'll be alright. Hannah's probably FAR away from us, at some other minimum security prison. And if she is, then... We'll get to that bridge when we come to it." The girl with the SnapBack pats the back of the brown haired girl's back, who I assume now is Grace.

I'm cutting up the chapters so they aren't too long! I hope you understand how much I HATE cliffhangers... I would never do that to y'all.
