IMAGINE HELPING TONY GET THROUGH AN ANXIETY ATTACK AFTER A ROUGH MISSION.

It was no surprise for you to find Tony rocking himself back and forth or pacing around the common room late at night, when everyone was already asleep. Still, this time it was different. The team had just come back from a mission which, unfortunately, didn't turned as they thought it would.

The sight of him made you feel sick. It was like he was transmitting you all the pain he was feeling. All that horror, grief, fear he felt deep inside him – it was too much for him to handle. You couldn't beare walking away and not helping him to ease the pain. So, you emerged from the dark hall and approached the sofa where he was sitting on.

Knowing that anxiety attacks could be frightening and could isolate people from the real world, you just sat down next to him. You gazed down at his hands, they were shaking and sweating. Tony's breathing quickened, out of the blue, and you could bet that his heart also began to pound in his chest.

"Tony?" you whispered, "Tony."

He was still in a state of shock, but hearing your voice snapped him out of his toxic thoughts. As soon as he saw you, his breathing slowed down. He tried to speak but you assured him it was okay to remain silent for a few seconds more.

"You know what keeps going through my head?" Tony began, pointing at his head with his finger. "Chaos, war," he told you. "Just don't tell the team, you would freak the hell outta them after today's mission."

"You didn't make it," you sighed.

"No." He pulled a face as if he was thinking for a second. Then, he turned to you. "You know what makes it funnier? There's nothing in my power that can fix it. I had never felt so...vulnerable. And worse yet, I don't know how I will defend the ones I love if I cannot defend myself."

You shook your head. "Well," you began, "I guess we'll have to find a way together."
