"Come on, take this," you said, while giving him ice in a towel. Peter took it and gently put it on his eye. "You know, if you had at least knocked on the door, I wouldn't have hit you with the lamp," you said trying to break the uncomfortable silence.
"It-It's fine. It's my fault, actually. I shouldn't have sneaked into my own room that way," he finally admitted. "I just don't want May to know-"
"Know what?" you cut him off. Leaning closer, you whispered, "That you're Spider-Man?"
He nodded and began to fiddle with one of his wrist band, which Tony gave him. It was not a surprise for you to see your best friend letting himself down, but man – he was Spider-Man! You wouldn't let him despise himself alone.
You put your hand on his, and gave him smile. "Peter, do you know-"
"Y/N, I can't do this to May. Not right now. I mean, everything that's happened with her, I – Please."
"Alright, I'm keeping my mouth shut," you promised. "Now, let's see if we can get something for dinner. I'm starving."
You both got on your feet and made your way towards the door.
He pursed his lips, and wondered, "What exactly where you doing in my room?"
"May needed some help with the cleaning," you shrugged. As you stopped in your tracks and turned around to face him, you said, "By the way, don't you ever climb a ceiling again, okay? Otherwise you'll be the death of me!"
