Part 18

(Time Skip)
Joe's POV
It was a couple of weeks now. And I was surprise with how far I was getting in the competition. This week we are dancing the waltz. This was the one dance that I was really looking forward to do. This week was quite a special week since we were dancing to "rainbow connection" which Dianne's favourite song. I was dancing my hardest for her and trying to make her happy this week, since I knew how much this song meant to her.
Dianne's POV
I can tell that Joe was trying his hardest this week. He knew how much I loved this song and training went really well. One of our main props was a log that we used at the beginning of the dance and at the end.
Joe's POV
Dianne and I had just finished rehearsing the waltz and during it, the atmosphere, the song, the dance made me realise something. Ever since we kissed at my party, I had been developing feelings for her. I hadn't told her anything, because I didn't want to make our friendship complicated.
After rehearsing, Dianne went to get some water and I followed her. I then plucked up the courage to say.... "Di? I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but um, I like you. As in I have feelings for you..."
Dianne's POV
I couldn't believe what Joe had just told me. He has admitted his feelings for me. I just looked at him and he had a smile across his face. "Joe. Um.." his smile then went away. "I'm sorry but - -I have a boyfriend." As I said this there was an awkward pause of silence between us.
