Part 65

Dianne's POV
It was the big day of the Strictly Final. Both Joe and I woke up an hour earlier because of excitement and we were just lying in bed talking.
"Morning. What's the plan on the day of the final normally?" Joe asked me. "Well. The finalists practice all their dances a couple times on the dance floor. Then all the pros and finalists practice their opening routine. After we have our hair and makeup done ready for our first dance so we just have to put our costumes on before the show starts. Lastly whilst we are in hair and makeup, the celebrities come together to perform a routine so they practice that. Then it's our normal show day routine." I told him. "Ok sounds good."
What's the time?" Joe then asked Mrs 7:30" I said looking at my phone. "We need to get ready." I jumped out of bed first and I got a quick shower as I had washed my hair the night before. Joe then got a shower as I got ready. Once we were both ready, we got an uber to Elstree.

Joe's POV
Dianne and I had practiced all our dances for tonight and we were just watching Faye and Giovanni's Show Dance rehearsal. Afterwards, we were all in the pro and celeb lounge and as we entered, the rest of the celebs were there. I saw Kate come up to me and we gave each other a big hug. "Hey, Joe. How are you?" She asked me. "I'm good. How are you?" I asked back. "I'm excited to perform once again on the Strictly floor. I loved both your Semi-Final dances." "Aww thanks." After catching up for a while, I went around and hugged everyone. Dianne was in hair and makeup and I was catching up with Lee. As we were talking, my phone buzzed.
"Can you meet me in my dressing room?"
Dianne messaged me. "Lee, if you don't mind, I need to be in hair and makeup." I told him. "Yeah, that's fine. Good luck mate." He replied back walking away to join into another conversation. I opened the door to Dianne's dressing room and as I did, I saw her head buried in her hands. "Hey, Di. It's ok." I said sitting down next to her, putting an arm around her. "I'm sad but I'm ready to perform with you. One last time." She replied restring her head on mine. "Me too. I'm upset too but I'm excited as well. I love you."
"I love you too. Do you think we should tell everyone now?" She then asked me. "Yeah. C'mon." I then grabbed her hand and we went back to join the others. Before entering, I wiped the tears from her eyes and she smiled back; I then got everyone's attention.

Dianne's POV
Once I was with the others, Stacey cane over to me and pulled me into a hug; I then rested my head on her shoulder. "Excuse me, everyone..." Joe started to say; this was it. "First of all it's so nice to see everyone back together. I missed all you guys a lot. And also, I have an announcement..." He carried on, beckoning me to join him. "We have something we would like to tell you," He then grabbed my hand; "Dianne and I are together. We have wanted to tell all of you together in person and plus we haven't been public yet so I would appreciate if it would stay between all of us." Everyone all nodded and began clapping for us. As I came down, I hugged all the girls and we were talking until all the finalists were called to change as the others were all ready.

Joe's POV
It was almost time to perform. We were getting ready for our opening number and I grabbed Dianne's hand before getting into position; this was it.

(Heya!! Sorry for slow updates recently! They may get slower as I have exams soon and I'm going to be revising. So I'll try to upload when I can! Also... this fan fic has almost finished but I'll update you when it has officially finished. (Still a few more parts to come though😉) I am working on another story to follow on this one once it's finished.  So look out for that 💜💜
