Part 38

Dianne's POV
This was it, the live shows in Blackpool have started. I love how this year Joe and I managed to make it to Blackpool. I obviously danced last year but not while I was still in the competition; it felt really special tonight. Joe and I were together in my dressing room as well as Kevin and Stacey. We then got called to start but after Kevin and Stacey left before us, Joe stopped me. "I'm a bit nervous for tonight." Joe said to me. "You will be great. Even though our dress rehearsal went a bit wrong, remember I always tell you that.." "You do it great on the night" we both said together. "You see. You know it's going to go well" I gave Joe a quick kiss and we quickly went or join the others.
Joe's POV
The bar was set pretty high tonight. All the couples we're doing amazingly, which made me extremely nervous for me to perform. However, I had remembered what Di had said and that calmed me down a lot. Dianne then dragged me as we were next and I was ready. We both got into position and as soon as the music started, this was it. "Ladies and Gentlemen its showtime at the Blackpool Tower!" I shouted.
Dianne's POV
I knew Joe would do so well. He was hitting every move so well. As soon as we had finished, I screamed and gave Joe a massive hug. We both hugged all our backup dancers and went towards the judges. Joe and I looked towards his nan and he gave her a thumbs up. She was waving, and it melt my heart. All the judges comments were all so good and Shirley was especially impressed. We went to Claudia to get our scores. "Craig = 8, Darcey = 10, Shirley = 10, Bruno = 10" I couldn't believe that we got 3 tens. I hugged Joe so tightly and he was looking emotional that he couldn't look at the camera, this made my heart melt. We then headed off away from the cameras and we went somewhere alone; I was crying happy tears. "Aww Joe you did so well." I'm so proud of you." Di said placing a hand on my cheek and wiping the tears away. I then pulled her into a hug, "Thank you, Di. For everything." She smiles at me and we went back to the others. After the live shows, I sat on an empty chair and hugged my nan. I then talked with my other family members and it was so nice to see them. Before we knew it, it was time for the results; I had already reached my goals of getting to Blackpool so if we went out, I would be happy of making it this far. But I also don't want my strictly journey to end. As we were waiting, I could feel Di pull my waist closer to her. "Joe and Dianne", we heard. I was so glad we have made it through, I couldn't be happier.
