Joe's POV
The ride home, we were both silent. It was to say the least very awkward. Arriving back, I opened the door and Dianne went straight to the sofa on her phone. I put my stuff down and approached her. "Would you like a drink?" I asked her, but no reply. "Di!" I shouted, then instantly she looked up at me. "Hmm? Sorry what?" "Would you like a drink?" She then nodded back, "please". I went to get her a drink and I put it down on the table for her, not even a thank you. "You're welcome, for your drink." I said annoyed. "Sorry, Joe. Thank you for the drink." She finally said. I then sat on the sofa with her. "Di. Have I done anything at all?" I asked her. "No." "Are you sure because we barely spoke in the car." Dianne then put her phone down on the table. "Joe. You haven't done anything, ok. I'm just stressed at the moment, and I just want to relax tonight." She was sounding really grouchy now. "Ok. I'm just asking." Moments later, she was back on her phone. I was just staring at her and I didn't know what to say or do. "Are you just going to stare at me all night?" She said but I said nothing. "I think I'm just going to bed then, if we are not talking." I carried on being silent and she just got up from the sofa and went into the bedroom.
Dianne's POV
I was in bed and Joe didn't come in until later. I fell asleep but as he came in, my tired sleepy eyes were half open and he just got in bed next to me. I fell back asleep and all I was thinking about was our mini argument tonight. We were just both stressed but I decided to let tonight go pass and we sort it out tomorrow.
