frying pan

mackenzie's pov:

I panicked so I locked the bathroom door. I quickly put my clothes back on. I heard footsteps coming closer and closer towards the bathroom. I open the cupboard and looked under the sink. I moved the box of hair products and found a kitchen knife. I grabbed the knife and closed the cupboard. the person started to walk away from the bathroom door. i got on my knees and peeked under the door. I didn't see any feet. I stood back up and held the knife tightly in my right hand.
I turned around and moved the windows curtains to the side. I unlocked the window and slightly opened it.

I jumped. I heard a familiar female voice.

??: “get away from there you asshole”.

I heard more footsteps. I know for a fact that there was more than one person in this house. I heard more footsteps and a loud bang. I closed the window and grabbed the knife from the counter. I started to freakout so i unlocked the bathroom door. I opened the door slightly and then completely. I walked out if the bathroom as quietly as I could. I peeked out and down the hallway. I saw two familiar figures standing at the top of the staircase. I dropped the knife on the floor. they turned around and looked at me. I ran into the girls arms and sobbed into her shoulders.

maddie: “shhh. it's okay. I got you kenz”.

mackenzie: “how did you know that there was someone here?”.

jack: “we watched someone break into the house after you came home with johnny”.

I looked over the railing and saw a guy laying on the floor below.

mackenzie: “how did that happen?”

I pointed to the guy and looked at maddie.

maddie: “i grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen. it was the closest thing to me and gave it to jack. we tracked the guy down and jack hit him with it. he fell backwards over the railing onto the floor below”.

mackenzie: “wow... thank you guys so much”.

I pulled both maddie and jack into a hug.

we walked downstairs. I looked at the guy laying on the floor.

jack: “I'm going to go call the police. I'll be right back”.
 
jack walked into the living room out of site. maddie and I stood there looking at him.

mackenzie: “he looks so familiar...”

maddie: “no joke, he does. I don't know how but he does”.

mackenzie: “i don't know”.

I walked closer to maddie and leaned my head on her left shoulder. jack walked back to where we were standing and slid his arm across maddie's waist.

jack: “the police will be here soon”.

\a few hours later/

the police came and took him away. I invited maddie and jack to spend the night. we just finished watching another episode of Riverdale.

mackenzie: “I'm getting tired. I'm going to go shower and go to bed. you can go sleep in maddie's room or the guest room instead of the couch”.

maddie: “goodnight kenz”.

mackenzie: “keep it pg. I don't want to be a aunt yet”.

we all laughed.

I walked upstairs and I plugged my phone in. I changed into pajamas and got under the bed covers. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
