johnny's pov:
when the ambulance came I didn't want to go into it with kenzie. I feel so fucking guilty right now I can't explain it. Me and Lauren drove to the hospital and when we got there we went straight to the waiting room where Maddie, Melissa, and Mackenzie's dad was. When Lauren sat down she started crying her eyes out.
lauren: “John is this really happening?”
johnny: “yes, I'm sorry this has to happen for all of us. it's my fault I should have protected her”.
I hugged Lauren, Kenzie was her best friend. I honestly just want to die right now this is all my fault. I should have protected her better. The doctor came out.
Doctor: “mackenzie was almost shot in her heart. The gunshot missed her heart by centimeters. She is now stable. In a hour she is going to have surgery so, we can remove the bullet. Take care everyone”.
\after the surgery\
The doctor came out with a certain look and I was worried.
doctor: “mackenzie's surgery went well but, she is in a coma and we don't know why yet. if you have any predictions please let me know or the nurses. thank you”.
