Felix
Hey there. I'm Felix. I'll be taking over for this little chapter. Don't know why. Guess the author was getting bored with Kinsley. I mean, she's my friend and everything, but she sees everything through such a realistic and boring lens. I on the other hand would like to describe my view on things as not extreme. Funner than Kinsley's reality, but a good distance away from Talon's... whatever crazy adjective you want to assign to her.
Before we left to our "hideout", we needed to take care of something very important. Getting rid of the evidence. We pigged down the remaining donuts. Well, Talon and I did. Kinsley only ate two, and very slowly at that.
I know that a second ago I was trying to decide whether I should murder or arrest her, but that's just how angry she makes me sometimes. I eventually forgive her after a few minutes, few seconds if she puts on that stupid goofy grin. I don't know how Kinsley could still be mad, even after Talon's "on the run" comment. She was just trying to lighten the mood.
After we successfully gotten rid of the evidence, we had to come up with a way to get out without being arrested. Well, for Talon to not be arrested. The two of us were fine.
Eventually (after more arguing than necessary) we decided to put her hair up in a bun and wear a baseball cap and trench coat. There wasn't much in the tech room. The girls had rubber bands, and Jerry, an FBI tech guy who luckily wasn't there, liked a lot of baseball and wore a trench coat everyday. I'd give them back later.
Kinsley and I walked close to Talon on both sides of her to hide her. We didn't trust that the last minute disguise would work. Instead of taking the elevator, we took the back stairs to the 1st floor. Those stairs led to the underground parking of the building. Now, you might be wondering, why did she even need that disguise if you were just going to sneak her out the back? One answer could be that we needed to be careful just incase there were police waiting there. Another answer could be that we just wanted to have fun if we were on the run. Oh, that rhymed!
We thought we were in the clear, so we backed off from Talon and continued to walk to our cars. By our cars, I mean only mine and Kinsley's since Talon ran all the way here after committing that stupid, delicious crime.
That was when I spotted Jerry walking toward us. I mentally freaked out before I realized that it was just Jerry. He couldn't throw a punch to save his life. Or run. So as long as we didn't act too weird, we would be in the clear.
He was five feet away from us when he looked up and saw us. "Hey, Felix! How's it going?" He asked kindly. Jerry was pretty short, not as short as the girls though. I was about a head taller than him. We didn't have much in common other than we barely have any muscle. We were good acquaintances. We always greeted each other in passing, we worked together on some cases when I needed tech help. Basically, we were cool with each other.
I guess he was getting something out of his car that he forgot. He definitely wasn't wearing his trench coat, that's for sure.
"Hey, Jerry. What's up, man?" I said casually, trying to not seem guilty, which I technically wasn't.
"Oh nothing. Just forgot my key card for the computers in the 2nd floor tech room." The room where we were just in. Okay. "I went all the way inside and sat down before I realized it," he chuckled. I chuckled with him. "What about you?"
"Oh me? I'm going home early, with my friends." I gestured to Talon and Kinsley behind me.
He looked behind me. At first I was worried that he would recognize his coat and hat, but thank the lord that he's only smart with computers. He looked at Talon for a second then smiled. "I like your coat! I have one that looks like that. Trench coats really are the best, aren't they?"
