Felix

Sup. How are you?

...I'm going to assume you said good.

So, yeah. I'm going on a date with Talon on Friday! I feel all giddy and happy inside, and I'm pretty sure it was obvious the next day (Thursday). In the morning, before I had to leave to meet my temporary team, the three of us met up on the first floor. Talon had called me earlier that morning to ask if I could pick her up and drive her to work because apparently her car's "broken". That was it. No other explanation, which I was fine with for obvious reasons. So I drove her to work.

Kinsley got there before us, and judging from her constant watch-checking and fast foot tapping, she was getting impatient. Before I went in, I stopped myself with a sudden thought.

That caused Talon to bump into me since she was right behind me. After whispering a curse word under her breath, she asked me, "What happened? What's wrong?"

I turned to her and suddenly felt the urge to roll up into a ball and hide for a few minutes, wishing I hadn't stopped. What I wanted to ask was stupid, but I was still curious about what we were gonna do. I nervously scratched the back of my head and asked, "Do we tell Kins that we're dating?"

She tilted her head a bit in confusion, but then it was replaced with a smile. "Do you want to tell her?"

"Oh no. Don't put this on me!"

"But I hate making decisions!" She whined back at me, crossing her arms and pouting.

Her pout was so cute. I rolled my eyes and kissed her for only a few seconds, since we were in public and I'm pretty sure no one wanted to see two strangers making out. When I pulled away her pout was long gone, an adorable little smile on her face. "If one of us sees an opportunity, we'll tell her. Deal?"

She nodded obediently. "Deal." If only...

The minute she and I walked inside, Talon yelled at the top of her lungs, "Felix and I are dating! Deal with it!" She turned to me smiling and gave me two thumbs up, like I wanted her to do that.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to me so I could ask, "Why did you do that?"

"We made a deal to tell her if we see an opportunity. I saw an opportunity."

"Yeah, an opportunity to yell for no reason."

She rolled her eyes at me like I was the stupid one in this situation. "That is the best reason to yell."

I didn't really know how to respond to that. Thankfully Kinsley interrupted us with a kick on my shins. I groaned as I quickly fell to the ground, rubbing my shin and cussing at her simultaneously.

"So you're dating now?" She asked Talon with a concerned look, ignoring me.

"Yep," was Talon's short answer.

"You do understand that you need to sign cert-"

Talon sighed. "I know. Why do you think I went to HR yesterday? Felix and I already signed the paper thingy and turned it in. We are legally fine," she reassured her.

Kinsley looked conflicted, like how she looked when trying to decide whether or not to wait for us to eat lunch. She sighed. "Fine. I guess when you both aren't being annoying, you actually look cute together."

I carefully stood up, my shin still throbbing from pain. She had a strong kick. "The hell was that for?"

"Just a warning," Kinsley threatened in a light but serious tone and a fake smile. "I'm on Tal's side if anything happens, so if you hurt her I'll do way worse than that." My eyes widened in fear. I always knew Talon was her favorite... I need better friends.
