You woke up to the sound of other students talking. You sit up and see a bunch of other girls in their Gryffindor uniforms walking outside with their books chatting. Once they all left, you got up, walked to the bathroom, changed, grabbed your stuff, skipped breakfast, and headed to potions. Once you walked in you realized that you were the first one there.
You sighed and and sat down at a desk in the back, hoping no one would notice or bother you, but, just as you grabbed one of your books and started reading, someone sat next to you. You looked up and saw that is was Remus.
"Hello, Y/n," he said.
"H-hi, Remus," you said quietly
"Are you okay?" he asked out of the blue. "I mean, I didn't see you at breakfast today, and Sirius, James and I were a little worried out you."
"Oh....." you said quietly. Pfft, wow he lied, them, care about me? Being worried? I'm not worth that kindness.
"Y/n?" He waved one of his hands in front of your face. He had a worried expression, that showed you that you had spaced out again.
"What? Oh, yeah I'm fine, I just wasn't that hungry this morning," you explained. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could say It Sirius, James and a bunch of other students walked in, including the teacher. Sirius sat right next to you, and James sat next to him.
The class ended up being boring, so you zoned out for most of it, until Remus shook your shoulder to snap you out of it.
"Y/n!" He said.
"Mhm?"
"You zoned out again, class is over. It's time for DADA now." You nodded and followed him and the group to the classroom.
The day until lunch consisted of you zoning out, Remus or Sirius telling you class ended and them getting more and more concerned each time it happened. As the students walked into the lunch room, you tried to sneak over the the bathrooms to punish yourself for making them worry about you, but James grabbed your wrist to stop you.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"N-Nowhere," you stuttered.
"Then, you wouldn't mind if we brought you to lunch, right?" You could tell what he was doing. I guess you'd just have to wait to do it.
"Yup!" You said in a cheerily voice and put on a fake smile. He smiled and you followed him to the Griffindor table, where you sat next to Remus, like yesterday. Food appeared on the table, and everyone started shoving as much as they could onto their plates. You decided that you could eat a little more than yesterday, and grabbed some mashed potatoes and chicken.
Sirius looked at you plate and smiled. You slowly ate the mashed potatoes, earning approving looks from Remus and James. They seemed genuinely happy that you were eating more than a roll.
"So, how are your dormmates, Y/n?" Remus asked.
"I don't know, to be honest, I got into the dorm and just crashed, so I never really got to meet any of them."
"Oh okay, so you didn't meet Lily?" James asked.
"No....? Why?" you asked.
"He thinks she's hoooooot!" Sirius said. James punched his arm and said,
"I DO NOT!!!" You chuckled at this, he totally has a crush on her. The boys became quiet and looked at you with wide eyes.
"What?" you asked.
"You laughed....I've never heard you laugh before," Sirius said.
"Me neither, it's beautiful," Remus added. Your cheeks flushed at this comment and you were glad when the teachers announced that lunch was over and that it was time to get back to class.
The rest of day was pretty good and you managed to keep the zoning out to a minimum, and the voices were quiet until you had to go back to your dorm. You decided since you were in a decent mood that you would allow some conversation between you and the others.
A girl with reddish brown hair walked up to you and said,
"Hello, I'm Lily, who are you?"
"Oh, so you're Lily!" you answered. Her face filled with confusion. "I'm Y/n, James and the others were talking about you," you explained.
"Oh, him." Her voice was laced with malice. "He's the one who keeps bullying Severus. I can tell he likes me, but he's not gonna get there by bullying someone who's done literally nothing to him."
"He's bullying people?" you asked. You haven't known him for long but you don't think he would for no reason. "He's been pretty nice to me." you added.
"Yeah he is, you should probably not be friends with him. He'll cause you nothing but trouble and pain." She walks away toward some other girls.
After you made sure everyone was asleep you reached in your trunk and grabbed your makeup bag and headed to the girls bathroom.
You positioned yourself comfortably against the wall in the big stall, after making sure it was locked. You knew that since classes had started, you'd need to not do this every day, but today was just super stressful.
You pulled your sharpest razor out of your bag and drug it across your left wrist. You watched as blood slowly pooled down your arm. How it stung was addicting for you. Even if you wanted to stop you couldn't. You looked down at your wrist and realized you had made 5 more cuts, without even realizing it. You quickly grabbed a piece of toilet paper and held it to you wrist until it stop bleeding. You cleaned the drips of blood on the ground, balled up the paper and threw it away.
You shoved your razor into your makeup bag and ran out of the bathroom and towards the Gryffinfor common room. You whispered the password and walked up the stairs to the girls dorms. You flopped onto your bed and fell asleep. You ended up waking up right as the other girls did, so you decided you could afford to go to breakfast today. You sighed, walked into the bathroom changed into your robes and headed to breakfast.
