(Marauders era) Remus Lupin x depressed reader.

This is back to the normal p.o.v. btw.

Your entire body was in unbearable pain, and your head was hurting, but you know, you're used to that. You just had hoped that you would have a break from being beaten, once you got to school. Lily had pulled you up and now was taking you to the infirmary, despite your ability to deal with your head on your own. 

Once you got to the door you started to feel light headed, but it wasn't because of your blood loss, it was because you were starting to hyperventilate. You soon realized you were having a panic attack. 

"You okay, Y/n?" Lily asked and stopped walking. You weren't okay. You were far from it. You fell to the ground. You felt awful for making Lily walk all this way, and making the boys worry about you, and you just wanted to die. But, would that help? You thought so. You wanted to rant to someone and tell them all your pain, about your depression, and about your fathers physical abuse towards. "Y/n!" Lily started to freak out. She had never had to deal with someone having a panic attack. "I'll go get Remus." She quickly ran towards an unknown destination, leaving you to try not to pass out. 

I don't want to make anymore short chapters, so I am going to just switch to Remus' p.o.v.

James, Sirius, and I were waiting in the common room for Y/n to arrive. We had been waiting for about 15 minutes and I was worried sick. I had been thinking about what Lily had said to me about her arms. Could she.....she might? But, why would her dad abuse her, what did she ever do to h-

My thoughts were interrupted by Lily running in the room looking frantic. She walked over to me and said, 

"Y/nwashavingapanicattackandIcouldn'thelphersoIwenttogetyoupleasecomehelpmeshegotbeatupbysomeslytheringirlsandnowshecan'tbreathe."

"What?" I asked all I caught was Y/n and panic attack.

"Y/n is having a panic attack and she also got beat up by some Slytherins." James clenched his fists and said, 

"They did what?"

We ended up following Lily through the hallways, until we found a passed out Y/n, her head covered in blood and a bruise on her cheek. I quickly ran up to her and shook her lightly to wake her up. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to stand up, but was too dizzy to hold herself up. 

"Here, I'll help you." She pushed me away and said, 

"No, I got it." She shakily got up from the floor and started walking towards the infirmary. We followed her and tried our best to explain what happened to her head. Lily witnessed it, so we let her explain. Madam Pomfrey ended up putting a bandage on her head. 

"We should probably see if you have a concussion." 

"No, I'm okay, I got it," Y/n said and walked out of the room. We didn't stop her as she sort of limped out of the room. I was the only one who could see the faint tears pooling down her face.

NORMAL POIN'T OF VIEW. Also, If you're waiting for you to like fall into Remus' arms and kiss him or whatever, that's not gonna happen this is a slowish burn. You won't be waiting til the end of the book, but it'll take some time. Remember, you've known him for 3 days. That's it. By the way, to make it not as canon and stuff, I will be adding like 4 new character, but that's it. 

You quickly tried to wipe the tears from my face, but It wasn't working. People couldn't see you like this. That would be humiliating. So, you ducked into the nearest classroom and leaned against the wall. Little did you know, a girl was sitting and reading in there.

She looked up at you and frowned. She seemed to be a 3rd year, Gryffindor, a short one though. She walked over to you calmly and said, 

"Hey, what's wrong?" You expected her to say something like 'are you okay?' but she said that. You don't know how happy you were that she said that. "I know, you expected me to say 'are you okay' or something, but it's obvious your not, so I asked what's wrong."

"I got beat up by some Slytherin girls," you said quietly. You didn't know why, but you felt like you could trust her. 

"It was probably River, Sam, and Ashlyn." She looked at you up and down before doing something unexpected. She hugged you. She hugged you soft enough that you wouldn't get hurt, but hard enough to make you feel safe. It lasted for about 10 seconds before she let go. "S-sorry! I just wanted to make you feel better. I didn't know any other way. I'll just lea-" You stopped her. 

"No, It was the first hug I've gotten since I was 3, so thank you. It did. I'd also like to know your name, maybe you could sit with James, Sirius, Remus and I at lunch," I offered. 

"R-really?" She seemed to think you were kidding. "It's Cassiopeia, and you don't have to sit with me if you don't want to. I usually just sit alone and eat outside, I wouldn't want people to make fun of you for sitting with a dumb 3rd year." God, what had people done to this girl. She seemed to happy and bubbly yet so broken. You smiled and said, 

"Of course! You seem like a great person, Cassiopeia. I'm sure the boys would be fine around you." She beamed and hugged you again. 

"Thank you!" She let go quickly and asked, "Wait, what's your name?" 

"Y/n," you replied. Just being around her seemed to cheer you up.

"That's a great name!" You smiled genuinely for the first time you had in years. Before you could thank her though, Remus and Sirius came in. Sirius stared in awe at Cassiopeia. She seemed to notice and started fidgeting nervously with her waist length long strawberry blonde hair. 

"Y/n! Finally, we found you! Also, who's this?" Remus said and pointed to Cassiopeia. You didn't know if she'd say who she was or if she would let you. After a moment you decided to do it for her. 

"Cassiopeia. She's a 3rd year Gryffindor. I also wanted to know if she could sit with us at lunch, since she has no one else to sit with." 

"Of course!" Sirius said. "She's also welcome to sit with us during classes, too, if she wants to." Wow, Sirius sucked at hiding his liking for a girl. 

"Thanks, I'll do that..." She seemed a lot quieter than when she was just talking to you. You gave her a weak smile, hoping she was just shy. She looked up, smiled, and looked back down. 

The teacher let you skip class, because of what happened, but the boys couldn't. Cassiopeia was tasked to make sure you were okay, and change your bandage everyday, while you stayed in the Girls dorms. She seemed to know what she was doing when she helped you with cleaning up. You didn't want her to feel lonely when you fell asleep, but she insisted she was fine. 

You laid down in your bed and soon fell asleep.
