Epilogue (how fancy)

I sat on a silver chair that had been draped with a white silk fabric. Beside me sat Phil, and he rubbed his thumb along the back of my hand as we watched the ceremony.

The marriage of Emma and Chloe.

They'd met at the muse concert I'd given Emma tickets to a while back, and quickly a relationship blossomed between them.

Emma had long since moved out into a flat of her own with Chloe - but we still met up regularly.

I liked Chloe.

She was the complete opposite of Emma's dark persona, and instead flaunted bright colours wherever she went - a smile seemingly always on her face. Her hair had been dyed a plethora of colours and was currently a light pink.

As I sat next to Phil, I listened to the two exchanging vows, before signifying the beginning of the marriage with a kiss.

Before I knew it, Phil was kissing me, too. A long and passionate kiss, until Emma cleared her throat beside us.

"Alright, lovebirds. Whose wedding was this?"

Phil laughed, getting up to get us some drinks.

"Well, I guess I have you to thank for your matchmaking skills, Dan." Emma smiled, "Despite... circumstances... at least one good thing came from that."

I nodded, pointing to my outfit, "And I got to get some use out of this suit!" I said, regretting my words as soon as I noticed how the atmosphere had suddenly dimmed in an awkward silence.

Thankfully, Phil joined us, handing out drinks to each of us before slipping his hand into mine.

"You two look so cute." Emma murmured, taking a sip of her wine, looking into the glass and watching as it swished around the rim. "When are you getting married, huh?"

"Hmmm." Phil looked at me, trying to gage my reaction, "Maybe soon."

"I don't care if we're married or not." I looked back at Emma, placing my head on his shoulder.
"As long as Phil is with me, that's all I care about."
