"Kota everything is going to be fine! I'm not going to say anything to anyone about what happened tonight. All the boys are out anyway except Luke. You can trust me because I care about you" Calum says to me as we're walking towards the hotel elevator.
I still haven't said anything since I thanked Calum for saving me from that... bad situation. We are almost all the way up the elevator when I finally ask "why were you out walking around that area tonight?"
Calum takes a moment to think of a response. "To be honest" he starts, "I was looking for you. I heard some commotion near the cement wall and I immediately recognized you."
"You're really strong" I say almost giggling. It's true though, the drunk man must have been at least two hundred pounds and not just two hundred pounds of fat. He had serious muscle.
Memories of when Calum pinned me to the wall the first night in the suite come back to mind as I remember my feet dangling off the ground.
"Yeah well, I was willing to do what was needed to protect you" he tells me looking straight ahead as we walk down the hallway to our suite. I don't respond because my bright red cheeks are a clear indicator of my feelings.
Protect you... He said it so determined and full of meaning. My mind begins to wonder what would have happened if Calum hadn't been there to "protect me" from that man. My whole body shivers at the feeling of his cold, rough hands all over me.
Calum unlocks the suite and I push my way in front of him. I think my hand slams against the door because Calum is freaking out holding it but I can't hear him speaking and I don't feel any pain.
I ignore him and push on towards Luke. He's not sitting in the small living area so I head straight to the bedroom. My hand fumbles on the door handle but I manage to get it open.
With the door open I see Luke standing uncomfortably close to some girl. She has blonde curly hair and is very skinny. I wouldn't say she's that pretty, but definitely prettier than me.
Luke snaps his head to see me standing in the doorway. I see Calum step beside me with terror on his face. He whispers a name in my ear and I hear it perfectly clear. Lillie.
Panic runs through my veins as I lose my hearing again. The skin touching my locket begins to itch as my whole body is paralyzed. Luke grabs Lillie's wrist and drags her out of the room. Calum steps in front of my shaking my body.
I'm looking right at his eyes, but I'm looking straight through them. He's repeating my name but I don't respond. After a minute he leads me over to the bed and sits me down. He kisses the top of my head and walks out of the room.
Right away I rip the locket from my neck and run into the bathroom. I close the doors and sit on the cold tile floors. I snap the locket open and Hunter's note falls into my lap.
Everything is NOT going to be okay...
I push the note aside and flip up the blade from inside the locket. The familiar smooth cold metal runs through my skin as blood pours out. Oddly enough, my muscles begin to relax and I begin to think clearly as I continue slicing open my small wrists.
I haven't done it in so long but it takes my mind off all my problems. That drunk man. Luke. Lillie. Luke with Lillie...
The door leading in from the other side of the bathroom swings open and I see Calum's mouth fall.
