The lip ring was my favorite part. At first I thought it would be gross and get caught on my own lip. But I liked it. I loved it. The way the metal felt against my lips transported me to another world. But I've never told him that.
"Dakota get back here! I wasn't finished with you!" He yells as he gets up off the couch to run after me. He's talking about the make-out session we were just having. I hope...
"Run run run as fast as you can! You can't catch me I'm the ginger bread man!" I yell running into the kitchen. Teasing is one of the perks to being in a relationship with him. I'm the only one that can. Without him throwing a fit at least.
"Kota come on! Let me love you!" I can hear his laughter through the wall getting louder.
"You're very funny!" I yell trying to keep a straight face as he rushes through the kitchen door and we make eye contact. His eyes are amazing. Who am I kidding, everything about him is amazing. He's perfect.
Perfect for me.
"Well I try" he shrugs and leans against the door frame. After a while of just looking at each other he finally speaks again. "You're so beautiful..."
"I know!" I say joking in an annoyingly high pitched voice as I leap into his arms.
"How did we ever find each other and make it through that mess..." He is serious now and I can feel his jaw release from the smile it was just in.
"It was just a joke..." and that is the truth. Simple as that. It was just a joke. We were just a joke.
"But not anymore" he says with confidence. We both stay silent for a while. Just me wrapped in his arms, they way it's meant to be. They way it SHOULD have been that whole time.
But people will be people, and people will be unpredictable... just let me show you.
