*** Hello! This is my first Wattpad (and just in general) story that I have ever written besides school projects so it might be a bit shaky in some parts but I hope you enjoy! It's going to start out slow but I have big plans to come! Updates every Saturday ***

Today is the day... the day my whole life is about to be turned upside down. It's now or never.

I shuffle into the room holding my half eaten bagel and overly-sized thick portfolio in one hand, and my phone and coffee in the other. Great first impression, I think to myself as I set the portfolio on the floor. I shove the rest of the bagel into my mouth and struggle to swallow it. I raise the cup of coffee to my lips and wash down the clumpy bagel before taking a seat in front of fate herself. Here we go...

"Hello, I'm..." interrupted by the burning sensation coming from my thigh as I look to see that while I was reaching to shake the woman's hand I somehow managed to knock over my coffee. And then, I somehow managed to make the situation worse by using my portfolio as an attempt to mop up the mess.

"What do you think you are doing?" The woman screeches from behind her desk. "Don't use your precious photos to clean it up, are you crazy?" Yes, I almost say.

"No, sorry it was just the first thing I saw" I say looking down at my now brown and wet shoes in disappointment. I can feel that burning sensation coming back, except this time I feel it in my eyes. I almost start to stand up to leave, but any thoughts of doing that are erased from my mind when the woman begins to speak again.

"Well you MUST be crazy for trying to ruin these amazing photos! Where did you go to photography school?" She asks genuinely interested as she flips through the moist papers.

"Umm... I... Umm..."

"Well spit it out!"

"I have never gone to a photography school before" I respond looking away now even more embarrassed than before. Why didn't I just stay in my soft bed this morning...

"These photos could have fooled me" she almosts whispers pulling out another stack of photos to look at.

"Thank you" is all I can manage to 'spit out', well more like squeeze out. When the woman finishes looking through all my pictures, she holds out her hand once more so I can properly introduce myself.

"Hi... I'm Dakota"
