It's not great, but I did draw a map ages ago for the Rising Dragons series. This is the first copy so it's fairly rough and hard to see because I had to take a photo of it and it didn't work too well. I also had to edit it on my laptop to give it numbers so I could actually show the names of places... It was an interesting experience, to say the least. There are explanations and parts relating to places as well. Not everywhere has a name as well, as I only named places that were relevant. Enjoy, I guess.
World Map
Locations
1. Highmere Isle
2. Heima Inis - This is where the elves live. The star at the top of the island is their capital Rígdún. For more information see the elves chapter.
3. Arida
4. Muse River - This is a river that at one point heads into the cliffs. It splits at multiple locations. However, it is most known for the trading route that follows alongside it.
5. Cassri
6. Dragon Rider Academy
7. Vox Academy
8. Avian School for Dragons and Riders
9. Capital - The capital for the humans is known by no other name. For those who are in the inner part of the city, it's a beautiful and safe place. However, towards the edges of the city, it's more dangerous with gangs often roaming streets and alleyways.
10. Ribah
11. Proluo Iter - Proluo Iter is a village by the beach. Its name means Tide Travelled and it has the motto Fortes Fortuna Inuvat - meaning fortunate favours the brave. The town is fairly small and often works with ships, most people growing up in the village end up working on the sea or water in some way, shape, or form.
12. Rajita
13. Arae's Desert - Arae's Desert is one desert that is home to some of the wandering tribes.
14. Dara Forest
15. Creidsinn - Creidsinn has one of the largest illegal markets, although it isn't well known by many people except those who deal with many illegal aspects of life.
16. Sha Sing - Sha Sing is a rather isolated village surrounded by ice and snow.
Dragon Rider Academy
This is a second version of the map for the Dragon Rider Academy, some places have changed their names and the buildings are in slightly different positions to where they had once been, but that's just because it's happened as I was editing the first book (slowly).
Rumours of Artifice
Artifice cannot be found on any map, as it is a roving island. This means that it moves on the sea rather than remaining stationary. This is due to the magic of the island and its numerous guardians. Rumours have it that the island was once part of the mainland but broke away from the mainland some time ago.
Of course, Artifice only exists in human legends.
