Here you go, enjoy an AU that I wrote in one day. The ending is kind of shoddy, as I started getting really bored with the whole thing. However, I have been working on A Dragon's Retribution and Rising Dragons for the past few days. Essentially, this is day 7 of Feb and I've written 26,000 words. I'm ten chapters ahead of A Dragon's Retribution currently, and I'm working on completing all the events and everything I want to write for Rising Dragons before I finally publish the ending of A Dragon's Retribution. Enjoy!

Ranger_of_the_North This one is for you; it's been about 200 words of notes for a while, and it finally bounced into existence.

"Hey, Sky, we ready to head out?" Rya calls out as she pulls her hair into a low ponytail.

With one last glance around the car, Sky nods. "Yeah, let's go," she agrees, exiting the car. Closing the door behind her, she stretches, turning around as she does so – as if she wishes to speak to Rya on the other side of the car.

Rya grins, lightning-quick, before the smile drops from her face. A touch to her belt reassures her that she has everything. She joins Sky. "So, this is where they're meant to be?" She asks, nodding at the building in front of them. It's easily two stories, a warehouse of some kind, but it had been abandoned a while back. However, Fáelán had given them the information that Alvah's criminal group had set up base. Whilst the information broker is strict, he's also fair. Especially when someone knows his partner, Aldrys Galchobhar.

"Yeah," Sky murmurs. "Let's see if we can rescue our agents and see what happened to them."

"They've been out of contact for a year," Rya warns. "They might not be around anymore. Besides, when we started searching for the criminal syndicate our own agency fell."

"And we might be better off now," Sky replies easily. "The agency was always on us and we never knew what they wanted. Now we have the Banished and we know exactly what they want."

Rya ducks her head, stifling laughter. "I would hope so, we run it after all," she says. Lifting her hand, she turns on her earpiece with a tap. "This is Alpha Partners ready and waiting," she reports.

"Hey-o!" Daphne's voice rings out cheerfully. "Everyone's in position and we are ready to get started here back at base. On your call, I'll get the message to everyone else."

"Daphne, professional," Apollo's hissed reply came, chiding his partner. "This is Intelligence Base, and we are ready to go."

Sky and Rya exchange grins. Daphne and Apollo's partnership never fails to be interesting, if only for how different they both are. Whilst Daphne is job orientated and focussed, even though she never strives to be professional, Apollo is often lazy and sleeping, although when on-call he never fails to act professional and keep on top of everything. "Call it," Sky announces. The Alpha Partners turn their earpieces to mute and go for their respective weapons.

The warehouse is easily surrounded by the Banished, all those who weren't on missions had been called in for the attack. The pair sneak through the shadows. For any other mission, it would be strange that there are no patrols, but they've been carefully watching the movement of Alvah's syndicate and the leader is arrogant.

Ergo, it's easy for them to make it into the warehouse without being caught. Although, there had been one adrenaline-pumping minute where the pair had worked together to take down one gang member who'd stepped around a corner at the last minute.

"Lima Partners and Oscar Partners have been caught under heavy fire," Daphne reports in. "They report they're holding their own against five others. Wait-"
