Chapter 28 : Ace

Jake Formosa (Ace) POV

 

The moment i learned that she's gone, i was frantic. Am i going to lose her again? No. I never had her from the start so i never lose her.

I walk straight to center where my next two opponent awaits.  

'Ace.' sabi ng isa sa mga lalaki na makakalaban ko. 'Sa wakas makakalaban uli kita at this time sisiguraduhin kung makakagante ako sayo.' sabi nito at naglabas ng weapon na wooden bat. Sino naman to? 

'HEY!!! No weapons allowed.' sabi nina Jhen at Mark.

'Just let him...Wala naman mababago sa resulta sa labang ito, ako parin ang mananalo.' 

'As usual...cocky as always Ace...' sabi ng isa ko pang makakalaban. I recognize his face since hindi ito naka-mask. 'Killian.' i said. Ngumite ito sa aken, ilang beses ko ng nakalaban sa street fight si Killian at nakita na nito ang mukha ko. His one of the few people that i had fight that saw my face, nung time na hindi pa ako nag-ma-mask. Why the heck did he join a gang? 'Aren't you a lone wolf?!' i said to him at he just shrugged and answered my question. 'For a change, i find this battleground thing interesting.'

'Pwede bang umpisahan na natin ang laban.' sabi nung lalaki na may hawak na wooden bat at saka ito sumugod sa akin habang hawak hawak ang wooden bat. Bago ako nito mahampas ay i swinged a my fist in his face smashing him to the ground. 'May kausap yong tao nang-gugulo ka.' sabi ko sa lalaking nakahandusay na sa sahig. Uconscious. Madali ko itong napatumba dahil mahina ito, pati ang posture niya ng pagswing ng bat ay mali.

 'Let's just fight to get over it and finish this fight?' Killian sai and i nod. 

Ako ang unang sumugod and punch him in the stomach but he immediately back away and did a right kick to my side pero nasangga ko ito using my left arm and grab his leg palapit sa akin for a close range and i aimed at his face but he used his arm too block my fist. He tried to get away from my grasp in my hands pero hindi niya ginawa. Hinila ko uli siya palapit sa akin and give him a crescent kick by lifting my right knee in front of me and kick with my right foot in circular, counterclockwise motion and hit my target with the inside edge of my right foot.  

I released my grab in him and he went down. 'Damn! Mas lumakas ka ata Ace, That crescent kick that you did....' he said and wince ng hawakan nito ang side ng neck niya.

Tumayo ito and shake his head a little because of dizziness. He attack me with an elbow strike and i was off guard, with this type of strike, his aiming me with the sharp tip of his elbow. An elbow strike huh? He thrown his elbow from the side, down vertically and i block it but he change his strike to upward vertically to my rear side in my shoulder.

'Shit.' i curse. 

'You didn't expect that didn't you?' he said

And damn he was right i didn't expect that at all...That kind of strike are moves for kickboxer, the move is for beginner but with his technique in maneuvering his attack like that is the hard part to counter. I have to finish this quickly, kung matatamaan pa ako ng attacks niya ay i'll take a big damage and that's  not what i want. 

'I have to finish this fast.' i mumbled. In my next move, i'll finish this.

Tumakbo siya papunta sa akin... close range is not an option for me, kickboxer are good with that  so i have to maintain my distance so i'll go for a kick to finish this fight.

I tried to maintain my distance pero nakalapit parin ito, he gave me a jab but i dodge it and he continued it with a another punch in my chin, if that punch hit me it will be his full advantage. After the punch in the chin that i barely block he surprise me with a hook and i was hit. I back a way and advanced in him preparing for my move. 

I begin by positioning my arms in my chest in a strike position. I spread my legs apart; the left leg in front of the right, then i turn my body slightly to the right so my right elbow can lead my body as it goes into spin. I lead with my head and my right elbow and turn right to go into the spin. My right leg come up as i complete the spin. I jump and kick with my left leg while lowering my right leg. I use my right leg for support, with that i released a powerfull momentum attack in my roundhouse kick him and he fell in the ground.on.

'F-fuck..you win.' he said and he huff in the ground and his gang mate help him.

Naglakad ako pabalik sa mga kasama ko...Fuck! My shoulder hurts, that elbow strike that he did damage my shoulder a little. For him to maneuver his attack like that he must have trained a lot to attain that.

'Wooaahhh...' sabi nina Jhen and Mark saka ako tinapik sa likod. I supressed my self from wincing and tried not to show it. Good thing at my mask ako pero napansin parin ng isa sa kanila, Yuuki eyed my shoulder and sighed.

I give him my cocky smile kahit na hindi makikita ito pero it will show in my eyes and she smiled in return, i can see the glint in her eyes while shaking her head.

'You did good.' she said... and whispered something to me. 'Patched up your shoulder.' and then she walk staright to the center for her turn to fight.
