"What do you mean you don't know?" Iris whines. She tugs on Barry's arm. "This is your chance!"

"Chance to do what?" Barry questions.

"To tell Oliver how you feel!" Iris exclaims, shoving the phone at Barry's face. The possibility was at the edge of Barry's fingertips, and he was too blind to see it. Iris knew she needed to help him see more clear.

Barry, I need you. Can you come over? Felicity and I just broke up, Barry read once more.

"He needs me?" Barry asks to himself more so than he does to Iris. "He broke up with her?" Barry's head began to race. With confusion came surprise, and with surprise came eagerness.

As a CSI, information was the key to any and every answer. Every discovery mapped every possibility. Every possibility had a chance of becoming reality. The information that was being presented to him at this very moment was that Oliver Queen is now single, and that Oliver Queen needs him.

Was the possibility that Oliver broke up with Felicity for Barry, or was that just an aching to becoming reality?

Iris sits herself back on Barry's couch. "I know we're fighting right now," She begins, clearing her throat as she fights the urge to cry. "But this is more important, Barry. You're my friend and I want you to be happy."

Barry sighs. He felt awful. The moment as things had began to heat up between him and Iris, in the not so sexual way, Oliver had texted him. He could tell that she knew he would choose him, and it pained him to know that she would be right. She's his best friend and she knew him better than anyone. There is no reason why she wouldn't be. Not only that, he had accused her of trying to get in between him and Oliver. All she did was love him, yet all he did was give her pain. He led her on and then let her down. The guilt had slightly been weighing on him ever since. And yet here she goes again, putting him before herself.

Barry clears the lump in his throat and sits next to Iris. He takes both of her hands into his and holds them as gently as possible. "I'm so sorry, Iris."

Iris chuckles. A flavor of disbelief tinted her voice as she spoke. "For what?"

"Everything. For making horrible accusations and for avoiding you. And more importantly, for leading you on and breaking your heart." Barry didn't even have the courage to look at her. He hadn't realize until now how horrible of a friend he's been to her. So much has changed in such little time.

"You didn't break my heart, Bear." Iris strokes her thumb on Barry's hand slowly. "In fact, you did the opposite. I would have been miserable if you had gotten into a relationship with me in my favor rather than your own. And you would have been too! And I realized that we will never be more than friends. I'll meet the love of my life one day, but you are my soulmate, Barry Allen. We're meant to be friends. Best friends."

A small smile painted Barry's face. "I don't deserve you."

"But you do. And so does Oliver."

Iris' words gave Barry the strength to look into those eyes he had known all his life, despite the evident guilt that had consumed him. She was smiling. That smile that radiated light and warmth. That smile that made you believe you were worth her time. That smile he would give anything to be the reason that it's there, and in this moment he was the reason. He is the reason.

"I don't have to go tonight. We can just stay in and watch a movie." Barry suggests, catering to her. He hates fighting with Iris, and hates it even more when it's his fault. "My problems will be my problems tomorrow. It can wait."

Iris pinches Barry's cheek. "Nice try, Allen. You know I would love that, but you also know you're trying to get out of seeing Oliver."

Iris notices Barry lowering his head and looking away from her. His facial expressions implied fear, and that's when she began to feel for him.
