"I can't believe you dated Adrian Chase!" Iris said beaming.
"Kissed. Not dated." Oliver corrected, raising his index finger. "There's a difference."
"Still! He's the District Attorney of your city!"
"It was a long time ago. We were just kids. He's now married."
Barry was keeping himself rather quiet at this point in the conversation. He wasn't a fan of talking about Oliver's past relationships. That was partly because of how it symbolized the amount of times Oliver had gotten heartbroken and partly because of his feelings for him. He takes a sip from the mocha he was currently sharing with Oliver.
"And that's when you knew? That you were bisexual?" Iris questioned.
"Iris!" Barry shrieked.
"Barry, it's okay. I'm sure the whole world knows by now. I was a former billionaire playboy that came back from the dead. It's bound to have come around." Oliver chuckled. He reached for the mocha as Barry was holding it, accidentally touching him. The men looked at each other, a smile escalating on both of their faces. Barry slowly let go as Oliver took a sip. Oliver rested the drink on the table and clasped his hands together. He resumed his attention back to Iris as Barry remained his on Oliver.
"Adrian was the first boy I ever liked. That's when I knew, even though I didn't accept it back then, I do now."
"I remember when Barry first told me." Iris began. She took Barry's hand and held it as she continued. "He came and sat next to me one day and I could sense something was off. I wasn't entirely sure what or why, so I sat there in silence until he was ready. And then he told me. Nothing special like in the movies, but it was special to me. He's my best friend, you know?"
Oliver notices them holding hands, subtly looking away. "Trust me. I know." He forced a grin on his face. "You know what? It's getting late. I have a long drive... but it was lovely catching up with you guys."
Barry looked alarmed, letting go of Iris' hand. "Are you sure, Ollie?"
"You gotta stop asking me that Bear. I'm sure." Oliver raised himself off his chair, as did Iris, and they gave each other a small hug.
Iris pinched Oliver's left cheek. "Take care."
"You too."
"Hey, can I walk you to your car?" Barry asks. Oliver nodded and lead the way. "I'll catch up with you, Iris."
"I'll just use the spare key. Go after your man." Iris nudges. A smile illuminated her face. She truly wanted Barry to be happy. They hugged quickly and Barry proceeded to go chase after Oliver.
"You're getting slow, Flash." Oliver stated.
"You wish." Barry teases. A smirk engraves onto his face as he admired Oliver, walking with him out into the night. The lights of Central City may have brightened their route, but being with Oliver had brightened Barry entirely.
"I don't mean by speed." Oliver recalled. He exhaled triumphantly.
"How do you mean?" Barry furrowed his eyebrows. He was confused on what angle Oliver was playing at this time.
"You like her. You like Iris." Oliver said.
"Oliver what are you-"
"Don't lie to me, Bear." Oliver interrupts. He uses his hand as a resource to stop Barry from walking forward. He paused the both of them and looked directly into his eyes.
"I'm not!" Barry cried. "We've been over this before. Nothing is happening between us."
"Does she know that?" Oliver questioned. He treated this like it was an actual interrogation.
