---Otherworld Terms---
Otherworld- The Alternate universe where all otherworldly creatures exist.
Portal- A magical gateway connecting one location to another. Or Earth to Otherworld in some cases.
Veil- A magical source that keeps humans from seeing the otherworldly creatures. It does not affect humans who have had biological ties to otherworldly creatures or humans who have been introduced to the Otherworld.
The 'Introduction'- A term capitalized to be used for a humans first look into Otherworld. It is a painfull process that clears the human's vision and opens hidden parts of their brain to believe what they see. Only stronger and older creatures of the Otherworld can cause the Introduction.
Age types:
Earth Age- It is the age of an Otherworldly creature in terms of Earth, as in, how long they have spent on Earth apart from Otherworld.
For Example- A Vampire is born and raised in Sohue, the Otherworld's equivalent of Greece, and is 125 years old when he travels to Earth via a portal, there on Earth, he is considered to be a new born as he has just left Otherworld.
Otherworld Age- The usual age of an Otherworldly creature, time is different in Otherworld and all its creatures are immortal.
---Direwolf Terms---
Alpha- A strong, massive male with excellent leadership qualities, dominant and possessive in nature. All his children are similar to him and are classified as Alphas, who lead the pack in Direwolf culture. They are classified according to their dominance as there can be more than one Alphas in a pack. Since there can be only one leader of the pack, who makes the major decisions, the Alphas fight among themselves to decide who rules.
Beta- An equally strong male, however smaller in stature and faster in speed, the Beta is was the kind and caring figure of the pack, who, when needed did what was right for his people, he is the one who obeys his Alpha's orders and listens to the pack members grievances if any. All his descendants are like him and are called Beta, even as pural. A pack may have multiple Beta however, Beta are not dominant hence, they have no challenges.
Omega- Usually a female, who is very fertile and the ultimate breeding material, Omega is frail and weak, they usually rely on any available male to seek for reassurance and safety. Omega is also sometimes greedy and selfish. The female is very submissive and fearful, but when their offspring are threatened, this female becomes as strong and as violent as an Alpha during mating period.
Females in the species:
Females in the Direwolf Species are classified as Alpha, Beta and Omega and have similar traits to the males of the species, however due to sickness and decline in the power after the death of the Goddess of the species, many of the females grew old and died. There are less than 30 females of the Direwolf species alive.
The Goddess- Renmisia (Literally 'The night bloomer') is the first of the species and hence know as the Goddess of the species. She has been given special powers by her mother, the former Moon Goddess, Selene. Recently, she died under mysterious and suspicious circumstances, suddenly and unexpectedly. Soul Shredder was her last official consort.
Pack Mate- A female who willing allows males in the pack to use her body for sexual release. She had no bond ties and is usually a creature of another species, who had willingly volunteered.
Pup- The offspring of a Direwolf. Pups are a very cherished part of any pack.
The Naming- A ceremony which gives name to a newborn pup or a Direwolf who wishes to change his/her name, the names are normally a mixture of adjectives.
The Marking- An act between mates initiated by the male by piercing the skin of the female by teeth and leaving behind a visible mark that acts as a brand of possession.
The Bonding- The initial honeymoon-like part of a mating in which the two mate seclude themselves for a few days, the pack providing them with food, without interrupting them.
The knot- A ball of veins and nerves at the base of an Alpha's penis that ensures that the Alpha is attached to the female for atleast a few minutes until all the seed has been extracted, and that the female is more likely to have the Alpha's child. This formed due to Alpha's need for possession and staking claim.
Null- An infertile Alpha.
Gathering- A celebration on a full moon night, where the pack collects together and praises Mother Moon. The first Alpha, the leader of the Alpha's in the pack, then dominates each and every eligible female in the pack to prove his strength and leadership, while other males dominate each other or wait for their turn with the females.
Selemona- An Omega blessed by the Moon, fated to find the sleeping form of the Goddess.
Renmisiawahyeh- Literally, Night Blooming Cave, it is where the body of Renmisia was preserved after her endless sleep. It is believed to exist in the deepest cave of Russia.
