Beyond His Limit

After gaining a massive amount of power from Emma's words, Kajah was overpowering and overwhelming Lith with ease. Lith has been taking hit after hit while Kajah easily avoids and counters anything Lith throws at him. The fight has been been going on for a while. With them being very deep in the forest it, made it hard for Subaru and the others to reach Kajah faster. The battle is now one sided however. The wound in Kajahs heart is starting to effect him , along with the curse that was put on him. Lith despite taking lots of damage is able to heal herself to an existent. Petra and Emma are both hidden form the battle and are awaiting for the outcome hoping Kajah will win.
Kajah: *huff huff*
Kajah begins to grab his chest in pain.
Lith: *huff...huff* I...cant...keep this up...at this rate...I-I actually will die.
Kajah: *huff...huff* you seem to be having...trouble.
Lith: (dam it...I-I have to get out of here. I've taken too much damage to fully heal now.)
Kajah begins to stagger a little bit as he's trying to keep himself up and ignore the pain in his chest.
Lith: (I-I think he's starting to slow down. I could kill him now.)
Lith started to get her attack ready but she hears a voice.
Subaru: KAJAH!!! HEY!!!
Lith: what?! (No no no this can't be. they can't be here already. I thought...I thought I was far enough.)
Kajah: *cough cough* looks like it's over Lith.
Lith: *tisk*
Kajah: OVER HE-
Just then Kajah's heart began to beat weirdly and, started coughing lots of blood through his mask.
Subaru: I herd him over there let's go.
Rem: (why do I have an uneasy feeling.)
Lith: I would stay but it seems...you and I are to injured to fight (not to mention he has help coming.)
Lith gets enough strength to get up and create a dimension for herself to escape.
Lith: good bye for now Kajah.
Kajah: w-wait...y-you *cough cough*  dam it.
Kajah's armor fades away and he coughs vigorously before collapsing.
Subaru: (so much Destruction.)
Emma: DADDY!!!
Rem: KAJAH!!!
Subaru: wait Emma?
Petra: SUBARU!!!
Ram: what happened? Emma, Petra?
Petra: K-Kajah he saved us but...something happened. He was hit through the chest...and...and.
Emma crying and trying to wipe her tears away interrupts.
Emma:he...he got hurt really really badly. He got up but he was coughing lots of blood.
Rem already over Kajah trying to wake him up.
Rem: Kajah? Hey Kajah please wake up.
Subaru: Kajah.(Dam it, I knew I should have gone with him.)
Ram: Rem is he.
Kajah coughs more trying to get up but holds his chest trying.
Rem: Kajah Wait you're hurt!
Rem turns Kajah over on his back to see a vertical line in Kajah's chest right where his heart is.
Rem: K-Kajah...this-this wound.
Subaru: is it bad?
Emma: Daddy...it's my fault...I told him to get up and and.
Rem: no it's not your fault Emma. Please don't say that.
Petra: is-is he gonna be ok?
Rem casts a healing spell on Kajah's chest but it doesn't work as the way she would want it to.
Rem: what? Why didn't that work?
Ram: we should get back to the others in the village quickly.
Subaru: it took a while to get here. We should be getting back asap. Crimson is with Emilia at the village to so I'm sure they are ok.
Emma: Is daddy going to wake up?
Emma still crying from what happened.
Rem: y-yes of course he will.
Emma: Mommy...can you heal daddy?
Rem: m-mommy? Eh...y-yes I'll try Emma.
Emma looks at Rem with a cute hopeful look.
Subaru: (what?)
Ram: huh? (Mommy?)
Rem: We can walk back to the village and leave back to the mansion so Beatrice can try to help him better.
Ram: sounds good.
Subaru: I'll carry Kajah with me.
Rem: no it's ok I got him.
Ram: Rem are you sure? I mean-
Rem: yes I'm sure. please let me.
Rem helps Kajah up and helps him walk back to the village with the others.
Petra: Lith...was...she was evil.
Subaru: Lith?
Ram: you mean the lady that came to the village?
Petra: yes.
Emma: she said something about a curse.
Rem: a curse?
Ram: we can ask once we get back later.
Subaru and the group get back to the village to find that Crimson had vanished not to long after they got back. Trying to go to the mansion now would be too much on Kajah so, Emilia suggested with the idea of staying the night do to Kajah's current situation and try to help him. During the time there however Kajah was experiencing tremendous pain as he held his chest. Rem went to check up on him during the night and ended up staying by his side the rest of day. She felt deep down that she is to blame for what happened. Rem holds Kajah's right hand and began to countlessly try to heal his pain the entire night.
Emilia: R-Rem? You should get some rest. You have been up all night.
Rem: I'm ok...thank you though. How are Emma and the other girls?
Emilia: they seem to be ok. The whole ordeal kinda shook them but they seem ok. Emma though was really upset and ended up crying herself to sleep.
Rem: I-i see.
Emilia: Rem im not sure what happened but she called you her mother a lot. Are you ok with that?
Rem: y-yes...I honestly don't mind as long as it makes her happy.
Emilia: I understand. How's Kajah holding up?
Rem: he's still in a lot of pain but I was able to reduce some of it. Emma said he was hit through the heart. I can't see that being possible for that to happen to him so easily. Something must have happened.
Emilia: if something happened we won't know until he comes to.
Rem: holding Kajah's hand closer to her.
Rem: I know...if I was there he wouldn't be in this situation.
Emilia: R-Rem...your not to blame for this ok?
The day was starting to end and, everyone slept uneasy when night finally came.
The Next Morning.
Ram: Subaru hey wake up we need to get moving.
Subaru: wh??? Oh right yes.
Subaru went to go get Rem.
Subaru: hey Re-
He finds Rem sleeping with Kajah's head resting on her lap. Holding Kajah's hand.
Subaru: Rem...I.
Emilia: hey you ok Subaru?
Subaru: Huh?! Y-yah I'm ok.
Emilia: I'm surprised.
Subaru: Huh? About what?
Emilia: about those two. They are very close. I'm not sure when they got so close to each other,but I think it's cute.
Subaru: yah...
Emilia: Emma's voice is also just too adorable ,it melts your heart doesn't it?
Subaru: yah.
Emilia: well we need to get Rem up so we can get going. I almost forgot the situation with Kajah.
Subaru: y-yah that's right. Kajah is really hurt and something about a curse?
Subaru: *gently shaking Rem* hey Rem. Rem come on we need to head home.
Rem: h-huh? Oh...Subaru I'm sorry I must have dozed off.
Subaru: how long where you up?
Rem: I-I don't know really.
Subaru: well we must get going now. We have to take Kajah to Beatrice. She might know what curse Kajah has.
Rem: You're right. You hear that Kajah? We might be able to get rid of that curse on you.
Subaru: let's get going.
Rem with Kajah and Subaru walk out of the house, but are met with the villagers looking sad at them. Emilia,Ram,Mei and Emma are outside the house waiting for Rem and Subaru to come out when this happened so they are to surprised.
Subaru: Huh? What's going on?
Male villager: we-we herd what happened and what Kajah did for those little girls. We wanted to try to help him but this is beyond us.
Village woman: yes...we feel like it's our fault...so we got some herbs and medicine that might help him with the pain a little more.
Elder village woman: please take this.
Petra: is-is he going to wake up soon? E-Emma.
Emma in a very adorable hopeful tone and smile says.
Emma: I know he will. He's my daddy after all, mommy and I will be there with him.
Rem: E-Emma...I...yes you're absolutely right.
Subaru: (Rem.)
Mei: I'm sorry I got into trouble..
Emilia: Mei...it's not your fault ok?We-we should get him home now. Thank you all for your hospitality.
Male villager 2: we hope he gets better soon...if it wasn't for him we would have lost those girls. I just wish he didn't have to pay the price for it.
Ram: yes well...that's how Kajah is...reckless.
Emilia and the others began heading back home. Rem carrying Kajah the entire way back.
Subaru: Rem are you sure you want to carry him all the way back on your own?
Rem: it's ok really I'm fine. We're almost there anyway so I can take it.
Subaru:if-if you say so.
Ram: (Rem what's going on in that head of yours?)
The group finally make it to the mansion without any problems and immediately took him in to see Beatrice.
Subaru: Beatrice! Beatrice we need your help for a second.
Beatrice: what? Hm? What's wrong with him?
Emma: big sis Beatrice daddy got hurt really really bad.
Beatrice: oh? I seen you can talk now Emma.
Subaru: there is some kind of curse on him. I was thinking you could cure him of it?
Beatrice: sure let me see him.
Beatrice looks at Kajah and sees the wound on his chest still bleeding.
Beatrice: this is a pretty serious wound.
Beatrice places her hand on Kajah's chest and can see the curse around his heart.
Beatrice: what...is this?
Subaru: Huh?
Rem: what's wrong?
Emma: is everything ok big sis?
Mei: can you help him big sis?
Beatrice looks at Emma and Mei who are looking at her with nope and desperation. She keeps her same resting face and says.
Beatrice: yes this is nothing.
Beatrice made a special red aura come from her hand and places her hand on Kajah's chest.
Beatrice: there all done.
Emma: YAY!! He's gonna wake up now.
Beatrice: no he still need his rest. He will wake up when his body is ready to.
Mei: oh ok.
The boys came in a panic.
Toru: MEI!! EMMA!!
Toru goes and hugs Mei and Emma.
Toru: Are-are you two ok? Did da-I mean Kajah save you?
Emma: oh yes we are ok. And dad did save us.
Mei: Nya~ YEP!
Toru: E-Emma? Y-YOU TALK NOW?!?!
Emma: Mhmm
Emma's cute little smile fills the room with hope and joy.
Toru: come on everyone is waiting for you. You all to heheheh everyone will be so happy.
Subaru: heh alright.
Rem: yes I'll take Kajah to his room for now.
Emilia: I'm sure they are worried about us.
Toru,Emma and Mei all went to the where the others are.
Beatrice: wait everyone.
Subaru: Huh?
Rem: what's wrong?
Ram: Beatrice?
Emilia: everything ok?
Beatrice looks at Kajah for a second and then around the room to see if the kids are really gone.
Beatrice: Kajah. He is in serious  trouble.
Rem confused to what Beatrice said.
Rem: wh-what are you talking about Beatrice? You-you took care of his curse right?
Beatrice: this curse that's around his heart is...it's to complex for me to simply get rid of without him dying.
Subaru: what?
Emilia: then...what did you do?
Beatrice: I reduced the pain he is in and closed up his wound. That wound was done to his astro-body. In other words his soul. That's Partly healed but the curse is still there. That I can't remove.
Ram: so then what will happen?
Beatrice: that curse will kill him if he uses his yin. Any of it, as of right now he can't use his powers so, make sure he doesn't when he wakes up.
Rem: But-but I told Emma.
Beatrice: that wasn't easy for me either. However that's the current situation with him. Also he might be knocked out for 2 days 10 days ect.
Rem: what why?
Beatrice: the amount of mana he used up on top of that curse did a toll on his body. I'm surprised he didn't drop dead. Actually I'm shocked he's alive right now. He's something that's for sure. I'm also guessing that tower of aura and mana was from him. That tells me he went way above his body's limits to.
Rem:...
Subaru: Rem. I'm sure he will wake up soon.
Ram: Rem he's going-
Rem: he will get up soon I know it.
Emilia: Rem...but-
Rem shakes her head in disagreement.
Rem: I know he will wake up. After all he's has a family waiting for him to get up right?
Subaru: Re-yes
Ram: he sure does.
Emilia: I agree. He will get up soon.
Beatrice: I recommend you all keep this secret. Don't let those kids know.
Little did they know Kiskue overheard their conversation as he was about to enter the room. He instead hid behind the wall and listened. Kiskue was shocked and speechless but he knew he couldn't let anyone else know. Kiskue quietly walked away without anyone noticing and acted like nothing happened when he got back with the other kids.
Kiskue: (I can't let anyone else know about this...they won't be able to handle it. I barely can. Dad...you truly are the best dad I ever had Kajah.)
Back to Subaru and the others.
Everyone agrees with a nod on keeping it a secret from the kids. Rem takes Kajah to his room and sits by him for a little bit rubbing his head.
Rem: I'm sorry this had to happen to you. Kajah...please...wake up soon.
Rem kisses Kajah on his forehead and a tear falls from her cheek.
Rem: those kids need you...I...I need you.
