The Day Before War

After getting told everything and where to meet up by Alexander, everyone met by the fallen Flugle Tree the next day.
Alexander: good everything has been set up already lucky we get an extra day thanks to my little brother.
Crusch: oh? Glad to see you finally got here Alex. That's great news.
Alexander: you got here early?
Crusch: yes. I figured it would be more logical to be here and ready a day or two before the war.
Alexander: hm smart. I can tell you are no stranger to war and battles.
Crusch: why thank you.
Alexander: I see Anastasia,Felt, and Priscilla are also here. Good because I will need Reinhard and Julius. Subaru and Kajah Wait here with Crusch while I get him.
Kajah and Subaru: yes sir!
Kajah: this is it huh.
Subaru: yah...but hey we got this. We will have Alex with us in there to.
Kajah: heh true.
Alexander returns with Reinhard and Julius.
Reinhard: Subaru ,Kajah! Hello guys!
Kajah: hi Reinhard, Julius! How have you two been?
Reinhard: I've been well.
Julius: as have I. Subaru.
Subaru: yah.
Julius: are you treating Emilia well?
Subaru: what kind of question is that?
Julius: I'm just asking.
Subaru: yes if you must know.
Alexander: you two done?
Subaru: *ngh* y-yah
Julius: my apologies.
Alexander: now then. Reinhard you're in charge of clearing a path with that sword of yours.
Reinhard: a path?
Alexander: yes if you use your weapon we should be able to enter my father's fortress without using our energy. We will need all of our strength trust me.
Reinhard: Alright.
Alexander: Julius you will be guarding Emilia and my mother. She will be casting a barrier around the camps for the injured.
Julius: Already seeing casualties?
Alexander: yes. Lots actually. My mother must be protected at all costs understand. She can heal the wounded fully.
Julius: you have my word I will die trying.
Alexander: thank you. I know you have your own leaders to protect thats why they will be with my mother. That will make things easier. I've already told the others this. Now I must tell the new soldiers that came to keep my mother safe as well. Crusch.
Crusch: yes?
Alexander: I know you're one to go into battle and lead you men however I'll need you here.
Crusch: very well.
Alexander: good. Now then to tell those soldiers.
Alexander goes and gathers up the new soldiers that joined the group.
Alexander: listen up men! Your job is simple yet important! You all will be guarding these women here with your life!
Lunanie: hello everyone heheh
Soldier: is that your wife?
Soldier 2: your girlfriend?
Soldier 3: she looks really young.
Lunanie: teehee no sillies I'm his mother.
All the soldiers: EEHHHHHH??!?!!
Lunanie: why does everyone do that?
Subaru: I can understand why.
Crusch: I have to admit...I'm still surprised by that.
Reinhard: yah...that's really something alright.
Julius: well then.
Julius bows to Lunanie and holds her hand in a respectful manner.
Julius: I will make sure no harm comes to you Miss Lunanie.
Lunanie: that's very noble of you Julius *giggles*
Alexander: best be careful boy.
Julius:...I'm only showing my respects.
Subaru sticks out his tung at Julius behind Alexander.
Julius: sigh.
Alexander: now I suggest we all rest up. I'll explain more later. The attack will happen at night to so prepare. Alexander: all the girls I will need to talk to you about where you all will be doing. Mom you already know but still.
Lunanie: yes yes I know
Alexander: I will go get the other girls then. Everyone else dismissed.
All soldiers: YES SIR!
Kajah: alright.
Subaru: hopefully nothing involved with Julius and Emilia.
Julius: hey that's not nice
Reinhard: well shall we gentlemen?
As everyone leave Lunanie and Crusch are with Alexander.
Crusch: why have just us here?
Alexander: you will know. I'll go get the others.
Alexander leaves and returns with Anastasia,Priscilla,and felt.
Alexander: now that everyone is here listen. I need all of you here with my mother. No matter what.
Priscilla: can I ask why your repeating that a lot?
Alexander: because the moment you leave my mothers protective barrier, you will die, so I'm making sure none of you will think about sneaking off and doing something Stupid. The amount of demons that will come out of this portal are beyond your imagination. Not to mention they will not hesitate to kill you.
Priscilla:I get it.
Anastasia: so what can we do exactly?
Crusch: I hope you're speaking for yourself.
Alexander: no bickering. You will be helping my mother with any wounded soldiers. Crusch on the other hand will help with strategy. I trust her with guiding everyone when I'm gone.
Crusch: of course.
Alexander: that should cover everything really. My brothers and sisters...I'm hoping they won't come down first...that will be a definite loss.
Lunanie: ...I really want my children back.
Alexander: d-don't cry mom jeez.
Lunanie begins to cry.
Lunanie: I can't help it! I just want them back already!
Alexander: *sigh*
Crusch: ehh.
Priscilla: she sure does cry a lot huh.
Anastasia: oh boy.
Felt: it's ok Lunanie don't cry.
Emilia: yah I'm sure things will be ok.
Lunanie: *sniff sniff* thank you both soo much.
Alexander: really? Come on.
Lunanie: hmph! Alex you're being a meanie!
Alexander: Alright I'm done for the night. Everyone is dismissed.
Lunanie: hey! Oh no you don't Alex! GET BACK HERE!
Alexander leaves in a hurry trying to avoid his mother.
Felt: teehee they are pretty funny.
Emilia: hehe yah.
Crusch: you deal with this all the time Emilia?
Emilia: ehh heheh mostly it's the kids.
Everyone says their byes and heads to their own camp. Lunanie, Felt, and Emilia are all in the same camp together. All of them are in their sleeping clothes and are awaiting for the upcoming war.
Lunanie begins humming a sweet melody in the star filled night sky.
Emilia: what song is that Lunanie?
Lunanie: oh? Eh heheh sorry. It's something I sing or hum whenever I'm nervous. It really helps keep me calm.
Emilia: does it have lyrics to it?
Lunanie: yes of course. Would you like to hear it?
Emilia: yes please.
Felt: I'll love to hear it Lunanie.
Lunanie: heh ok ok let's see. La~la~la laaa~la lalala~. *come my love~ to a land of dreams~ where we can see the glistening stars. There~ I'll wait for the day~ we wake to the promise land~. Now my love~ lay with me so we may get lost in the stars~. Now my dear this is where we can sleep until the new found land Is in our hands~.*
Lunanie singing is herd throughout the entire camps. It was soothing everyone that was stressed and worried about the upcoming war.
Alexander: that song...she use to sing that to us when we were little. Glad to see it's still a powerful voice.
After a little while everyone ends up sleeping besides some people. Alexander was sitting on top of the fallen tree pondering. Until Felix join him.
Felix: found you!
Alexander: hm? Felix what do you need from me?
Felix: Felix-Chan just wanted to talk to you. Is that wrong?
Alexander: I suppose not.
Felix sits next to Alexander who was looking up into the sky.
Felix: that song your mother was singing...it was actually relaxing everyone to.
Alexander: I bet. I haven't herd her sing that song in a very long time.
Felix: say Alex.
Alexander: hm?
Felix: do-do you hate your family? Like your brothers, sisters and dad?
Alexander: hm? Hate is a very strong word but, no I don't.
Felix: hmmm
Alexander: my family was never evil like this. Honestly my father was very kind and loved life, but...ever sense he took that throne...he's changed more and more to the point of insanity.
Felix: do you think...you can bring them back?
Alexander: that's the idea. I just wish I didn't have to fight them.
Felix: well...hopefully you won't.
Felix lays his head on Alex's arm.
Alexander: what...are you doing?
Felix: oh I'm just relaxing. Don't mind me.
Alexander: you are an odd one but then again everyone in this world is I guess. Same as me and my family. Though it's surprising that not many know of High elves and their aging. Corse I'm sure some do actually know.
Felix: heh yah.
Alexander: how long do you plan on resting on my arm by the way?
Felix: till we need to get up.
Alexander: why?
Felix: well why not? Sitting by yourself isn't all that good when you have a lot on your mind.
Alexander: Hmm...I suppose.
Felix: how come you don't like talking to anybody? You're always serous.
Alexander: probably because I've been with my father and other siblings for so long that "fun" isn't something I can just do. Remember I've been secretly going behind my father's back for so many years that I can't afford any slip ups.
Felix: that's right...you have had a lot on your shoulders huh.
Alexander: so much...too much honestly but, this is that path I chose. The path my sister chose was peace and harmony. That's what I'm trying to continue for her sake.
Felix: why not make it both you and your sister's instead of just hers?
Alexander: hm? What do you mean?
Felix: like for example. I didn't really have much purpose until I met Crusch. Felix-Chan didn't really have the best parents either. Anyway to make it short I've devoted my life to Crusch. This gift she gave me is something I hold very very dear to my heart. And I'll never lose them ever.
Alexander: how does-
Felix: I'm saying what do you cherish the most that your sister left?
Alexander:...Kajah.
Felix: then try to make the world better for him. Something that his mother can no longer do on her own. If you truly want to continue her dream you have to make it yours to and not feel like you're being forced to do it.
Alexander: hm. Yes I get you now. Your right to. I suppose I've felt like I'm forced to do this because of what happened. Now...I think it's what I want to do to. Thanks Felix.
Felix: teehee happy to help. Crusch seems to respect you a lot to. Everyone does.
Alexander: is that so? That's good I guess.
Felix: jeez come on with the serous tone.
Alexander: I told you already tha-
Felix: I know I know.
Alexander: mmm
Felix: ehhh sorry.
Alexander: *sigh* sleep Felix. We will be getting up soon.
Alexander makes a warm blanket for the two of them to share.
Felix: oh? Are you comfortable with Felix-Chan now?
Alexander: don't press it. I just figured going back to camp will be a waist of time now that's it late.
Felix: heh thanks. Your warm to.
Alexander: *sigh* don't joke like you normally do. Just rest for now. I'll get you up to get ready alright?
Felix: ok. Hey Alex.
Alexander: hm?
Felix: you're a cool guy teehee.
Alexander: hm. Thanks I suppose.
{Meanwhile in the other world}
Xalvec: NOW RISE MY DEMON FORTRESS!! OPEN THE PORTAL TO THE OTHER WORD SO I MAY BRING CHAOS TO ALL ITS INHABITANTS!!
Demon Fortress: GRRRRRRR!!
The massive demon begins to move its gigantic arm and opens its hand creating a massive symbol outside where thousands of demons are waiting to enter.
Xalvec: HAHAHAH!!!

Rem finds Kajah laying outside on the grass looking up at the stars.
Rem: hey.
Kajah: hm? Oh hey Rem.
Rem: mind if I join you?
Kajah: oh not at all.
She lays next to him and looks up at the stars to.
Rem: it's pretty isn't it?
Kajah: yah...hey Rem.
Rem: yes?
Kajah: I've been thinking...about asking you something.
Rem: what's that?
Kajah: I ummm...I'll ask you after this battle.
Rem: you sure? You might forget.
Kajah: trust me I won't forget this question.
Rem: well alright.
Kajah: (I cant ask you yet...not when all this stress is on everyone. When I come back...I'll ask you then Rem.)
Kajah clenching his left hand tight holding on to something very important.
Kajah: (I'll keep this gift safe until then.)
