Moment of Rest

After training for a day Alexander decided to give Kajah and Subaru a day break.
Alexander: you two enjoy your day off from training.
Subaru: But isn't the war coming soon?
Kajah: yah there's like four days left right? We should be training more.
Alexander: I understand your eager to get stronger both of you. However your health is also part of getting stronger. Know how to rest and regain your full strength. Can't have you passing out on the battlefield now can I.
Kajah: y-yah good point.
Subaru: yah I see your point.
Alexander: good now go and rest up today. Tomorrow we can continue.
Kajah: alright uncle. Thanks for helping us get stronger to.
Subaru: thank you very much Alexander.
Alexander: it's nothing really. Besides you two are important in this war.
Subaru: Huh?
Kajah: what do you mean?
Alexander: I need your help in weakening my father so that I can give him this elixir.
Alexander shows Kajah and Subaru the elixir That's is black with red glowing particles in it.
Subaru: what...is that??
Alexander: this is an elixir my mother made not to long ago.
It's specially made to return Xalvec back to his old self.
Kajah: so...do you know if it will work?
Alexander: I know it will work...if it doesn't...I'll have no choice but to kill him.
Kajah:then...let's make sure we make him drink it. Can't have you lose your father if you can still reach him uncle.
Subaru: Kajah...
Alexander: Ka-Kajah...
Kajah: I know I know he's the reason why I lost my family but I forgive him. Besides I know what it's like to lose your father. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that pain.
Alexander:...
Subaru: what? How can you forgive someone like that?
Kajah: well I see it as this. If you hate someone for the rest of your life you will never be truly happy with your self. You will have that anger and hatred built up in you.
Subaru: I-I see.
Alexander: Th-thank you...Kajah. (Yes...he truly is like you Carmella. I'm so glad...im so glad he's alive living with these people.)
Kajah: well come on Subaru. We have some relaxing to do.
Subaru: right.
Subaru and Kajah go into mansion to clean up and relax. After a little Subaru begins to think about a way to make a powerful attack with Kajah.
Subaru: hmm no...that might not work. Hmmm what all can Kajah do? I need to test these attacks.
Emilia: hey Subaru.
Subaru: Huh? Oh hi Emilia. How are you?
Emilia: I've been ok. You seem to be in deep thought there.
Subaru: yah...I was just thinking about some attacks with Kajah is all.
Emilia: I see...
Subaru: ehh everything ok?
Emilia: it's nothing...
Subaru: hm?
Emilia: you...good luck Subaru.
Emilia leaves and heads outback.
Subaru: (when...was the last time I spent time with her...I've been so focused on getting stronger I forgot to spend time with her to.)
Subaru decided to head out back and sit next to Emilia.
Emilia: Huh? Subaru?
Subaru: hey...I um Sorry Emilia.
Emilia: Huh? For what?
Subaru: I've been...not paying attention to you much lately. I've been focusing on getting stronger that I haven't spent any time with you.
Emilia: Subaru...heh well I know you have been working so hard lately. I don't want to disturb you.
Subaru: what? No it's ok really.
Subaru sees Kajah and Rem walking together enjoying themselves.
Subaru: say Emilia.
Emilia: yes?
Subaru: let's go out.
Emilia: Huh?
Subaru stands up and grabs Emilia's hand guiding her along and walking with her through the flowers .
Emilia: S-Subaru?
Subaru: I think this is a nice day to be walking together don't you?
Emilia: y-yah it it nice out.
Subaru walks with Emilia and takes her to many familiar spots. As time goes on and the sun began to set. The couple being to head back to the mansion.
Emilia: I had a really great time today Subaru.
Subaru: *giggles* me to.
Emilia: we should do this again soon teehee.
Subaru: heh yah.
The sun sets and the sky is full of bright stars this night. Subaru and Emilia decided to sit outside and watch the stars.
Subaru: the sky's very beautiful tonight.
Emilia: yah they are. Huh? Look over there Subaru.
Subaru: Hm?
Subaru and Emilia noticed Rem and Kajah dancing under the night sky.
Subaru: Wait I didn't know Rem could dance.
Emilia: ehh I guess she can.
Kajah notched Subaru and Emilia and decided to go join them.
Kajah: Hey heheh what's up you two?
Rem: *blushing with embarrassment*
Subaru: I had no idea you could dance Rem.
Emilia: yah you looked really nice heheheh.
Rem: w-well.
Kajah: oh I was teaching her how to dance. She's a quick learner to.
Subaru: oh?
Rem: y-yah.
Emilia: oh come on Rem you two really looked Cute out there.
Subaru: hahah yep.
Kajah: you're cute Rem come on no need to be shy about it.
Rem: Kajah!
Kajah: heheh
Emilia and Subaru: *laughs*
After a little bit Rem and Emilia end up sleeping on the boy they are with.
Kajah: heh guess she fell asleep.
Subaru: yah so did Emilia.
Kajah holds Rem closer to him and looks at her.
Kajah: you know Subaru...I know I've been new to everyone here but...I feel like I was suppose to meet you all and...her.
Subaru: Kajah.
Subaru looks at Emilia resting on his lap.
Subaru: I have gotten a lot stronger thanks to you. And I'm glad we met. I think the both of us where ment to meet here. So...with this up coming war...let's make sure we both come back alive to see the people we care about.
Kajah: heheh...yah
The four ended up sleeping ouside that night under the calm gentle night.
[Meanwhile]
Thanatos: The demons are all ready father.
Xalvec: heheh good good. Begin the preparations for the rift to their world.
Thanatos: yes father.
He leaves thinking to himself.
Thanatos: (hopefully Alex is ready for this. I can only stall for so long.)
