Chapter 19 - Only Goes Up- Rachel's POV

There he is. The man of my dreams. The man that I only dreamed of having since I was a little girl. The man that saved me from myself. There he was, on bended knee, asking me the one question I could only dream of him asking. 'Will You Marry Me.' So why couldn't I say 'Yes.' I want to so badly. I love Finn and this family we're beginning. I was frozen. I felt as if my soul left my body and was too scared to return. I kept picturing me on a stripper pole. That was my past that won't let me enjoy my present. Finn was still on one knee, looking at me with those big brown eyes basically begging me for my answer. "Finn..." I said as I chocked. "Wow. I didn't see this happening. Just forget this happened." he said as he got off one knee. "You didn't let me finish what I had to say. Finn I love you, more than I love myself. You took a chance on me and you didn't judge me on my night job. I only see a future with you. You are my first love. Your the only guy for me." "Is that a-" "Yes. Yes, I will marry you." At this point we were both crying, but they were tears of joy. He put the ring on my left hand ring finger and I felt like I could just float away to heaven. I hugged him and gave him a kiss. "CONGRATULATIONS!" yelled my dads and Finn's family and friends. "Oh my god, dads what are you doing here?!" "I called your dads the other day to ask them for their blessing, which is why I was late to our appointment." Finn said. "I'm sorry I doubted you." "It's okay babe. Let's just enjoy the party." Carole and Burt pulled Finn and I aside 20 minutes into the party. " I'm so happy for the both of you Rachel. I could tell how much Finn loves you." Carole said. "Thank you. And I really love your son." "And Finn. You better take care of her and those babies of yours." said Burt. "I will." Finn added. The party went on for about another 30 minutes. When we went home, Finn and I were snuggled on the couch watching a movie. "I can't believe I'm engaged." I said looking lovingly in his eyes. "Well believe it because I'm not going anywhere." "I love you so much, Finn." "I love you more." "If you say so." We giggled and made love. I truly felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I'm a rollercoaster that only goes up.
