Chapter 45 - Unconditionally- Rachel's POV

I don't know why I was crying. I wasn't sure if it was because Finn is actually making an effort to fix this relationship, or because deep down, I didn't want him to. I know this place was where we went on our first date. And I also know he gave me roses that same night too. Everything he has done tonight is magical, but I'm not sure if I TRULY want him back as of yet. I think we've out grown each other in a way that can't be fixed. He just stared at me. Hoping that I'd say something... anything. But I couldn't. I turned around and walked out the restaurant with Finn following me calling my name. "Rachel! Rachel! Please, just wait a second." I stopped. "I'm sorry, Finn. It's not you, it's me. And I know that sounds stupid, but I mean it. What you did tonight was... better than I expected it to be." I rambled. "Then what's wrong?" he asked. "It's not there anymore." I replied. "What's not there? I don't understand." "The spark. When we first went out, I knee you were the one. And when we kissed, I saw fireworks. There was a uncontrollable and exciting spark between us that's not there anymore." I said. "Rachel, that doesn't mean we don't love each other." he said through the tears streaming down his face. "I love you, so much Finn Hudson. I always have and always will. We've been through so much together and I wouldn't trade our love, for anything. You were the first guy to notice me for me. You made me feel loved and sexy and visible. You were my first love. And I want more than anything, for you to be my last. But I can't do this anymore. At least not now." "Just take a chance on me. Please." he said. We were both crying late at night in the streets of Lima, Ohio. "I'm sorry, I have to go." I said. "I'm not gonna stop fighting for you!" Finn yelled as I walked away. I covered my mouth and fought so hard to stop crying. I loved him, unconditionally. But I had to let go.
