Today's the day I put Hope in the ground. I really just need to do this. I invited family and close friends to attend the funeral. I got Daniel dressed to go to his younger sister's funeral. I heard a knock on the door, it was Finn. "How are my two favorite people?" he said. Daniel was really fussy because of his diaper change. "We're fine. Just a little nervous." I replied. Finn hugged me from behind. "Just remember that she's in a better place. She just wasn't meant to be here, with us. But we will carry her in our hearts for a lifetime." He was right. I was still sad Hope was gone, but I knew she was looking over us. Everyone was dressed so I strapped Daniel in his car seat and walked to the garage. I put him in the car and sat in the passenger seat. Finn came a minute later and we drove off. Everyone was sitting in the church waiting for us to arrive. All eyes were on the 3 of us when we walked to our seats in the front. There she was. In her small, white casket. The pastor said some words and so did my parents and Finn's mom. I couldn't get up and say anything, I was too devastated. Finn went up and said some things. After that we all went to the cemetery. I said my goodbyes and saw them lower Hope in the ground. All I kept thinking was that Finn is right. She's definitely in a better place.
