Brooks Rae's POV
I ran. Faster than ever, even though Payton got first. I dragged Payton to Coach Jake.
"We need to see Emma." I demanded.
"She is at the hospital. We are going there after everyone is done." Coach explained.
"Can we run there?" I asked and Payton groaned.
"Five miles that way. You sure?"
"Never been more sure." I smiled, then ran to the direction coach pointed to. For Emma, I kept repeating in my heat. Payton being close behind me when we entered the hospital door.
"How May I help you two, sweaty boys?" The front desk lady asked.
"We are looking for Emma Payton."
"Room 207." She smiled and I dragged Payton to the room.
I take a deep breath then entered the room.
There she was. Tears forming in her blue eyes. Skyler by her side.
