I pulled away from the kiss and stared at my lovely girlfriend. I want to tell the world I'm dating her so bad, but I can't. Emma had told me that Skyler said she doesn't want any of her friends dating me.

"What's on your mind?" Emma rest her head on my shoulder. I watch as she makes a bracelet with embroidery thread.

"Not much just that I'm excited for tomorrow. We are going to Buffalo, New York." I smiled. She looked up at me with those big blue/green eyes. She is so pretty, even in just sweats.

"It's going to be fun." She looks bad at her work of art. Honestly how the hell does someone do that? Make a weird pattern with thread?

"You're so talented." I whispered in her ear.

"Your sister makes these too." She points the a stack of clear tackle boxes full of thread in each one.

"Damn. But you're still talented." I said looking back at her bracelet.

" I said looking back at her bracelet

I went to this random party. I forgot who was throwing it but I went anyways. Marcus had told me to come meet up with him because he is stuck with crazy people and PDA people, whatever that means.

There is loud music blaring throughout the house as I make my way to the back where the fireplace is. There sitting on the ground is Skyler and Payton cuddled up next to each other and on the log is Marcus, Carson, Lauren, and Mari.

"What do you call an old snowman?" Carson giggled like a child.

"A snoldman?" Mari wondered.

"Nope. Water." Carson smiled slyly. Marcus glanced at me and smiled.

"Thank god you're here!" He got up and hugged me. I was taken back by my his random hug, but hugged back. His blue eyes beam with excitement.

"Aye it's Joelle!" Skyler gleamed.

"Aye!" I shouted. Marcus dragged me by the hand to sit on the log.

Now I know what you must be thinking, am I and Marcus together.

To answer that, nope. He has been my best friend since I was in third grade and he was in fourth. I mean I like him, but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

"What did I miss?" I wondered.

"Just some horny ass teenagers." Carson glared at Skyler and Payton.

"We aren't even doing anything." Payton huffed and Skylers face turned a bit red. I know she hates attention, but she seems fine around Payton. The two are meant for each other. With Payton's hand on hers is cute.

Personally I have never actually dated someone before. I had a small, literally the size of an atom small, thing with a guy. I didn't actually like him, but we 'dated' for a few days.

"So how's life been?" Marcus asked me.

"Boring. I hate not having Emma at school. God, it hurts me to think about what it must've felt like to fall. Those fucking people better be fined for that. She could've gotten hurt even more than just a broken leg." I sighed. "Sorry I'm ranting."

"Totally fine." Marcus said as he put his arm around my shoulders.

"I feel you though." Skyler admitted. "Emma has been through a rough time. I know how bad she wanted to win state. It hurts me too to see her mope around all day not allowed to go to school and see her friends. I'm surprised she is allowed at my house." She admitted.

"How is she anyways?" Mari asked.

"She is doing better but she asks weird questions." Skyler frowned. I glanced at Payton who was looking at Skyler like she was the only girl in the world. A small smile on his face and his brown eyes shining.

Now Skyler and I have been best friends since seventh grade but freshman year we had a breakout where we didn't talk much. Now we have gotten to be friends again but not as close as she is either Emma. I've accepted it and made more friends.

I look at Marcus who was already looking at me. He was drunk but more sober than drunk. My brown eyes were gettin lost in his blue ones. I love his eyes, they are so beautiful.

Drowning in his ocean eyes.

To say that his eyes were blue was like saying that the sun was yellow. Sufficient but not accurate to capture the burning.

"Joelle?" Skyler's voice tore me away from my thoughts.

"Hm?" I hummed.

"Can you come with me to the bathroom?" She asked. I knew this code. She needs to talk to me about something.

"Of course." I smiled and followed her to a small bathroom.

"What is up?" I wondered, sitting on the counter. She pulled out her phone and started texting someone, who I assumed was Emma.

"What's up with you and Marcus?" She set her phone down.

"Wh-What do you mean?" I stuttered.

"You like him!" She screeched.

"Shh. Someone might hear you." I whispered.

"So you do." She crosses her arms and smiled at me. "Oh the way you two are looking at each other. He definitely likes you back."

"Doubt it." I huffed and grabbed a cup of water, taking a drink from it.

"Have you looked at yourself! Joelle you're drop dead gorgeous. Any guy would be luck to have you." She grinned grabbing a drink and taking a swig. I couldn't help but feel like she was wrong. I had never thought of myself as gorgeous.

"Hey. You took long so I came to check up on you." A voice came from behind me then a big hand landed on my shoulder. I jumped a bit then turned and smiled wide. Marcus with his award winning smile.

Then I realized it.

I like him.

I like Marcus Grey.
