Happy reading!

The next weekend was the video shoot. I packed up my kit on the Saturday morning before I left for the theatre. I was doing the matinee but had managed to get the evening off so we could drive up to Yorkshire and get into our hotel. I'd take my bag and kit with me to work so Ricky and some of the others could pick me up from the theatre.
I laid out what I thought I'd need on the table to mentally check it off before it all went in the case. I would take the standard stuff like foundation and powder as well as a bruise wheel, not as violent as it sounds but actually a circular palette of colour of greasepaint that you layer and blend together on the skin to look like a bruise, some fake blood, some scar wax and the usual 'casualty' stuff. I was excited! Although I'd done casualty make up before I'd never been to a music video shoot.
I kissed Tibby goodbye and told her I'd see her on Monday morning. The neighbour was kindly going to look in on Tibby while I was away again. I felt guilty about leaving her for two weekends in a row but she'd still be as happy to see me as I would be to see her.
At five o'clock I headed downstairs from the make up room to get my lift. I didn't know who else was coming with us and in which car but I suspected we wouldn't be taking Gigi. I'd only been outside for a few minuets when a white Land Rover pulled up. The window wound down and Whitey leant over from the drivers seat to greet me.
"Alright love?" he asked. "Fancy going to Yorkshire with me, Peanut and old Muggins in the back?"
I laughed and nodded. "Yes please!"
He looked over his shoulder and I heard him say "Hey Rick, get out and help your missus with her stuff. Put it in the boot next to yours."
Ricky jumped out of the back seat of the car and gave me a kiss before taking my things and putting them in the boot of the car.
"How was your week?" he asked as we got settled in the back seat of Whitey's car.
"Same old." I shrugged. "What about you?"
He told me about his week where he'd been busy with auditions for The Voice. There was lots of stories about people who'd made him laugh, a bit of an argument that he'd had with Will and someone making them all cry.
"I meant to ask you the other day, do you want to come along to the one of recordings during the week?" he asked. "We're going to do a song and we want lots of people in the audience. I thought who could go the most crazy for me?"
"Understatement!" I laughed. "Give me the chance and you know I'll be there with an 'I love Ricky' tshirt on!"
"I'm looking forward to that shirt!" he laughed. "I knew you'd come. It'll be during the day so you won't have to miss work. Tom's been asking after you. He asked how you are and I told him you're as beautiful as ever."
Suddenly Peanut and Whitey burst out laughing in the front.
"Oh my god!" they laughed. "You two need to get a room!"
"We'll get one as soon as we get to the hotel, now shut up and drive us there." Ricky teased them "Until then we'll be snogging in the back!"
"Oh jeeze. They're going to be at it like rabbits!" sighed Peanut with a laugh.
We were just leaning in to have a kiss when Whitey coughed loudly. "Seriously you two. If you're going to do that please don't be too long. You're blocking up my mirror. I don't want to have an accident."
