......

We spent the next day looking around Helsinki with my family. It was a nice city but was unseasonably cold for mid summer. Occasionally we'd come to some steps or cobbles where Ricky would stop and take my mum's hand to help her.

"You two are so cute. We might have to rethink who you're going to look after when she's old." I told him after he helped her.

"I'll look after you when you're old too but I'll be even older." he said.

"I look forward to growing old with you." I smiled. "Sometimes I feel like I'm in my sixties already though."

"Well, I must say you look amazing for a sixty something!" he laughed. "Not many women your age can look so good in a bikini!"

"Shut up!" I laughed and elbowed him hard in the ribs.

"Ow!" he sulked. "You really hate me lately! Finland brings out your violence!"

"Ha!" I laughed. "It's not Finland, it's being with my brother. We always play fight and it's toughened me up nicely."

"Even now? Isn't play fighting as adults a bit weird?" he asked.

"Nah, it's more fun cose people think it's weird." I shrugged. "We'll be walking along somewhere and he randomly pushes me in a bush or something. I'm cool with it most of the time."

"So when our kids are pushing each other in puddles you're not going to stop them?" he asked.

"Nope! It might sound like bad parenting but it'll toughen them up." I shrugged.

Later that day we were all looking around a market near the harbour and I couldn't help gazing lustfully at the cakes. My soon to be sister in law made the best cakes and biscuits from Finnish recipes like gingerbread with all sorts of spices and treacle to make it rich and festive. They used cinnamon and cardamom in them which I always thought added some extra yumminess.

"Smell that." I told Ricky as I held up a cinnamon bun that I'd just brought.

"Oo, smells good! Like Christmas!" he replied. "I might take my chances on dairy for that."

"Oh you wild child!" I laughed.

We all went out for dinner that night as a family. My parents, brother, almost sister in law, uncles, auntie, Ricky and me. I greeted my auntie, dad's sister, and her husband with a hug but then dirty uncle Jim appeared. He pulled me into a too tight hug and patted my bottom. I tried to push him away but he somehow had my arms trapped.

"Can you let go please." I asked.

Ricky coughed loudly startling Jim. I took that moment to escape.

"I'm Ricky, Juliette's fiancée." Ricky introduced himself and put an arm around my shoulder protectively.

Jim looked at him in disbelief for a moment. "You're going to marry that?" he asked, jabbing a finger in my direction.

"Yes, that's generally what happens when two people are engaged." Ricky nodded.

"But she's a frigid lesbian." Jim laughed coldly. "She obviously only wants money from you."

Ricky sighed with exasperation. I fumed with anger.

"Don't talk about me like that! You may think you're funny and attractive to women half your age but you're just a messed up old man." I snarled.
